We fell in LOVE with Zimbabwe and I can’t think of a better place to round off our time there than in Vic Falls. The area has SO much to offer (beyond the Falls) and it really surprised us. Not to mention the people were incredible and we made the sweetest friends that showed us around 🥲 Definitely a place we’d travel back to. Here’s a few of our favorites ⬇️✨ *save for your own trip* - The Falls! This one is obvious but if you want to miss the crowds and feel like you’ve got the place to yourself highly recommend going at 6am! We were 1 of 6 people there and it was incredible. - Rafting! Can’t recommend a rafting or canoeing trip enough. We did our tour with @victoriafallscanoeingcompany and it was incredible - @the_lookout_cafe simply put, you gotta do it. This place is perfectly situated over the gorge and is such a cool coffee/breakfast/lunch spot - Visit Zambezi National Park: We stayed at the @siansimba campsite and did a riverside safari drive with sundowners - COMESA Market. We LOVED this place. If you’re looking for local goods (or secondhand clothes) at local prices, this is the place. - Sunset cruise! Another bucket list item for Vic Falls. Perfect way to round off a day on the Zambezi. —— Zambezi River | Victoria Falls | Overlanding Africa | Land Rover Defender | Vanlife | —— #builttorove #zambezi #victoriafalls #zambeziriver #adventureisoutthere #lifeontheroad #defender110 #defender90 #vanlife #overlanding #overlandbound #overland #overlandbuild #alucab #alucabicarus #landrover #homeiswhereyouparkit #landroverbuild #defenderbuild #vanlifediaries #overlander #overlandlife #defender90 #landroverdefender #overlandtheworld #overlandkitted #africaoverland #overlandingafrica

The largest national wildlife park in Victoria Falls area. Went there on an evening safari. The lovely Zambezi River runs all along the park and is an important waterhole for wildlife. Entry and guide fees apply. We saw lots of elephants, Waterbucks, Impalas, hippos, kudus, baboons, giraffes , maribu storks. If you have some hours to spare while in Victoria Falls, this place is recommended.

The park is beautiful, and I could see some animals (elephants, giraffes, gazelles, birds, hyenas, zebras, baboons, etc). However, early morning in July was very, very cold! Apparently, having a game drive in late afternoon would be better because it's when the animals come to drink water. I would have loved to stay longer in the park because we only saw animals at the end of the safari.

We went on October 3 last week and it was summer time so the bushes and trees were all dried. We took an early morning slot to escape the scorching heat. It was a good decision considering the summer heat. We were the only ones for Game drive in our vehicle and our guide was good and informative. He would stop as soon as he found a sighting and it's remarkable how they can drive as well be aware of the wildlife movements. It was a 3 hr drive and well worth it. We saw herds of elephants, zebras, Impala, guinea fowl, waterhog,...
