I think anyone visiting Albania should plan a stay at a guesthouse like this. First and foremost, Vasili and Vasilika are two incredible people. I found them kind, funny, and endlessly hospitable. Their English is limited, but they were eager to help me practice my small Albanian vocabulary, and still their son was always on call should I have needed anything clarified. My stay was pretty short. I arrived later in the evening and left early the next day. They served a wonderful dinner with great views of the Vjosa as the backdrop, and taught me a little bit about polyphonic singing. The following morning, I had a nice breakfast and a nice stroll along the river. I spent two weeks in Albania, and this might have been my favorite stop. Read moreWe got a tip to stay here so we booked without really look where we were going. But this was amazing! The hosts are SO NICE. Our daughter has an extra grandmother and father now. The are kind, warm and have hearts of gold. On top of that their place is AMAZING. It’s iddylic with river and mountain views. Beautiful flowers and so well kept. Read moreMy colleagues & I, were doing a tour in the area of Tepelenë & researched beforehand where to eat for lunch. Vjosa Guest House popped up, and we were very intrigued by the reviews, but also of the unique setting of the guesthouse.
We only got to try the food, delicious food prepared by Vasilika, local, fresh, traditional. Amazing views, friendly & loving couple who expect you like they’ve known you their whole life.
