Hammamet Hotel — Hotel in Ain Benian

Great hotel, has character within. Looks a bit bland from outside. Rooms are spacious, including a spacious bathroom with a bidet. Quite classy French colonial style. With that said it is quite dated, requires some modernisation, at least for today's gadgets - there were no spare sockets to charge, mobile, laptop or iPad. Great wifi signal available. ||||Hotel is good for those with their own cars that are coming in from the west of the country, or intend to travel west. Otherwise for an average sole traveller, it is way out of the city, nothing much to do nearby, with shops closing as early as 7.30pm. ||||I ended up in this hotel by mistake. The website I used, Expedia.co.uk (and it is also wrong on this website too!), is showing this hotel at about 6 KM from the airport. The hotel is located on the far side of the road from the coast with traffic surging on the main road into Algiers almost without cease. This is a real pity if you aren't used to using earplugs.||||The rooms were clean and spacious and the restaurant offered fresh cooked fare in the evenings. Breakfast lacked variety and imagination.||||It is good to get out of Algiers itself with its traffic jams and trash piling up but making the journey back and forth from Ein Benian and Hammamet where the hotel is located is to suffer in traffic and pollution. No solution really.||||Moreover, it is a Muslim hotel and no wine or alcohol is offered - it is very difficult to find anywhere to buy and bring in - and any consumption must not be in public.||||I preferred Oran to Algiers for cultural interest,...

The hotel is in need of better service, for real. The dinner buffet wasn’t the best, and some of the ingredients seemed old. However, the staff are nice, unlike the welcome service, which needs improvement especially the agent not even a hello or smile like ????? I didnt pay that much money for me to get treated that way.The breakfast was good(at least )and the rooms are clean, but nothing special. The location is BAD, especially if you’re a woman traveling alone. Would I recommend it? No. For the price, you can definitely find something better.Plus the comments seems like bots so dont fall for it or maybe the employees are biased towards certain people lol if u get what i mean by that anyway i fell for that...
