Hôtel Cristal — Hotel in Bejaia

Location: quite far from the Bejaia's center, on a rather ugly street. 15-25 minutes to the center by foot.||Cleaning : Given the location, quite clean. But do not expect to meet international standards. Clean beddings. The room is done daily and usually also the toilet supplies are filled if necessary (shampoo, soap, etc.) plus a 2 liter bottle of water.||Stuff: not extremely smiling / friendly, but good-normal atitude.||Rooms: Relatively large and with a comfortable bed (firm mattress). The overall feeling is good, even if small details are left to be desired.||Breakfast : Buffet but quite poor and every day the same stuffs. Eggs, butter, melted cheese, yoghurt, bread and two types of "french" pastries. Almost every day I found a piece of moldy butter.||Dinner : "a la carte" good but expensive, about 2-3 times the price of the local restaurants and 1,5 times the other hotel I tried.||Details: There is a small fridge in the room but no minibar. Furniture is generally obsolete and attention to details / repairs is missing. ||Internet in the rooms/lobby area was working good.||General overwiew - average. There it's a better choises in other hotel at the northern part...

I stayed here for a week in September since I was in town on business. I found the hotel very comfortable. The room was large, the bed was super comfortable, and clean. The breakfast buffet was ok. Nothing to rave about. The restaurant in the hotel was ok. I did try it out a couple of times..the soup was tasty..but I had an issue with the houseflies ..:( I wish the restaurant staff used clean table cloth after each customer.. there is a small cafe/coffeshop attached to the hotel which I believe serves better food and is a lot nicer in terms of decor and lighting. The hotel in terms of accommodation is indeed an oasis from the dusty, noisy environs outside. I would stay here again if I travelled here...

Although considered one of the best in the region, I recommend it for a short stay in Béjaïa to take advantage of its central location...
