We spent two nights here in March - what a gem of a place. One of the only hotels in Algeria that actually deserves the stars it lists (4) by international standards. The only reason this isn’t a 5 is because it is fairly small (3 floors of rooms, so maybe 50 rooms total?). In terms of service and quality it is a true 5* experience.
Everything was perfectly done and the attention to detail was top notch. Two pillows for each guest, of different thicknesses and height. Desserts at the cafe amazing (500 DZD/ea). Breakfast by far the best we had in Algeria, omelette, poached eggs, many canapés, etc. The spa was also very nice; we only did the massage but we saw the rest and it was all very high quality; the sauna much nicer than the one at the Sofitel in Algiers, and with a Hammam. The outdoor pool is heated to around 30 degrees so it was extremely comfortable to get in, even after the direct sun left the pool at around 3:45pm. Sun gets to the pool deck until around 4:45 this time of year, so comfortable to dry out afterwards too.
The hotel is a short walk to the public beach which is "acceptably dirty” (some plastic trash, but not overwhelming), and the village the hotel is in has some restaurants and shops and a mini market next door in case you want something the hotel doesn’t have, and don’t want to drive to Tipaza (or walk to Tipaza along the beach, ~50 min each way).
What really impressed me at breakfast was the poached eggs were perfect. That’s hard to do, especially for 40-50 guests that I think they had on the Friday morning. On Thursday morning there were only a handful of guests, but this place really fills up on the Algerian weekend.
Rooms were around 18-20000 DZD for a couple on the week, and around 12-14000 DZD for a couple on the weekend. Weekend is cheaper, surprisingly. Maybe promotional discount since the hotel only opened in late 2022. Massage was 4800 DZD/hour, Hammam and other treatments roughly in the same price ballpark.
Really a very nice hotel. The hotel may ask Algerian couples for marriage papers, they did not ask us even though we are fairly young (we are married and one of us is Arab, though not Algerian). They did ask for family papers from two Algerian guys in their 40s or 50s who tried to rent rooms with their "wives" who were waiting in the car when we were checking in, but they were kind of sketchy about trying to book a room, and they immediately left when they family papers were requested… and they came in a beat up old dirty car which probably also didn’t help...
Read moreNice and beautiful hotel, nice spa with great massage therapist, customer service need to be improved ( ladies front desk are good but two gentleman were not very helpful, I was complaining about the lights were off in the 5th floor corridors all night no one answered until the second day). the restaurant la perle 7th floor the first day was good nice food and a very good customer service staff but the second day dinner my wife find a metal scrubber in her dish we reported to the staff, they apologised and they gave us dessert on the house but they didn’t take it off from the bill, so the following day we had dinner outside and the security guard didn’t let me bring the food inside the hotel, room was good clean and modern, I’ll give it another shot next time when I’ll...
Read moreGreat experience 👍 The rooms were so clean and large There were nice places for entertainment (pool, library , gym) The sea view was stunning , however, the view behind the hotel wasn't very nice The workers were so kind and professional We had a problem with parking (it might be overcrowded sometimes ) The biggest problem was in the elevators (just 2 elevators serving 7 floors , so you might wait long sometimes) . + It requires passing the room card in order to use the elevator, so it might be a problem in case you forget your card Overall, the place was so nice and the views, the private beach, the rooms and the other nice things make it a great choice...
