Fresh off of our vacation with seven adult family members in Anguilla, what I can tell you is that it was the best vacation any of us had ever been on. A big part of that was the place we stayed. So even though I rarely engage in reviews, CeBlue was so good that it was worth the time.
First, I can honestly say that the people who work at CeBlue were some of the nicest and most helpful people we’ve ever come across on a vacation. Whether it was Etiennette working things out with us prior to the stay, Corin (our first ever butler), who was always nice and helpful, never pushy, and overall someone we looked forward to seeing everyday, or the cleaning staff who did a remarkable job, the bottom line is that the staff were amazing. To give an example, we were about 10 minutes from going snorkeling at Little Bay, contacted our butler when we realized we did not have enough snorkeling equipment, and within 5 minutes it was there with us.
The grounds were literally beautiful, as was the expansive view of Crocus Bay, which is what our 5 bedroom villa was set above. We were a very short boat ride from Little Bay, with its outstanding snorkeling. Our group saw a sea turtle and a variety of colorful fish during our expedition there, and a few of us even jumped off the cliff (when you go you will see what I’m talking about).
Speaking of the five bedroom villa, we loved the pod-like set up. The rooms were well appointed, the bathrooms were huge, and we absolutely loved the wading pool, with its steps in. Perhaps the only thing that was a challenge was the walk up the steep hill from Crocus Bay, but I could even turn that into a positive because it served to help us walk off the meals we had at DaVida’s Restaurant (a really good restaurant). Overall, an amazing stay at CeBlue. Five stars...
Read moreThis so called "5 star" does not have 24 hour staff. Our power went out (which apparently it does anytime it rains in this part of Anguilla). We could not call the desk because the phones in the room need power. We were offered a cell at check in but did not understand in an emergency it would be our only way to get a hold of staff (who are off site at night). The next morning the manager admitted she knew the power was off and said that the maintenance man knocked at our villa gait (about 200 feet from the room door) to check on us. She claimed that despite the fact that we gave our cell numbers at check in they were unable to contact us via our cell phones. We spent a miserable night with no power. The next morning we checked out (because it was supposed to continue raining and we didn't fly 6 hours to sit in a dark room every night) and we were refunded for 1 of 5 nights. Remarkably, the manager Etionette claimed she did not realize we had checked out despite my friend and I telling her, in person, standing beside a rental car packed with suit cases. This tells you how much attention they pay their guests. We left and they didn't even figure it out. She was defensive, poor at customer service and, quite frankly, a "con-artist" who we found to be dishonest. Their "spa" is one treatment room and you have to book it far in advance. We had to give 48 hours notice to eat dinner (because otherwise they have no chef on site). We found this place to be unsafe and not at all as advertised. A "treatment room" (empty room with 4 walls) is not a spa. A restaurant that you have to give 48 hours notice for is not a restaurant. And, when we asked for a refund and threatened poor reviews Etionette said we didn't have to "blackmail" her (yes, she actually...
Read moreWe stayed at CéBlue Villas and Beach Resort on 6-13/6-19-23. First off...the property is amazing! The villas consist of 2 decks and 5 bedrooms. The top deck has 3 bedrooms and the lower deck 2 bedrooms and a media room. The top deck also has a huge air conditioned dining room and full kitchen. It also features a plunge pool and a large deck with chairs, lounge chairs and 2 huge umbrellas. The beds are comfortable and the air conditioner works well and gets cold if that's what you like. The view of Crocus Bay is breathtaking! You get a beautiful sunset every night. There is also a restaurant down the hill that offers breakfast and lunch. The location was great for us because it's in the center of the island so both ends of the island are not far to drive. Now...about our concierge. Etiennette and Andrea met us as soon as we arrived and gave us a tour of our villa. The had a rental car ready for us, showed us the groceries that we ordered in advance and even provided a temporary driver's license for us! They were so helpful with meal recommendations and tips on things to do and places to visit. They tried to check on us every day to see how everything was going. They made us feel like we are at home while staying there. I can't say enough about the awesome experience of staying at this property. We will definitely go back in the future. I've provided lots of pics for...
