El Carmelo Mountain Lodge — Hotel in Distrito Potrerillos

El Carmelo provided us the luxurious restorative experience we were seeking in a "once in a lifetime" setting. After spending a few days in the wine region and exploring the beauty and wonder of nearby Aconcauga, we needed to take a break from the busy-ness of our vacation and take some time to unwind. From the moment the front gate opened to reveal the beautiful garden, and every breathtaking view thereafter, we indulged in a stay we will never forget. There is power in the mountains, always changing their appearance at different times of the day (we even forced ourselves to awake early to take in the peaceful sunrise). We were surprised by the hosts with the most incredible tango show we have ever seen with soulful live music set against the backdrop of a picture perfect sunset (still gives us goosebumps!). We then shared wonderful asado with the other guests - a special highlight of our time in Mendoza. We slept wonderfully in the oversized soft bed, and enjoyed our meals on the private terrace. Staff were discreet and ever kind, attentive to every need, and made us feel quite special and appreciated. We have already recommended the lodge to friends who will be in the region soon, and we hope to come back one day. A true 10/10...

Nos hospedamos mi pareja y yo en el hotel y, sii bien es un hotel muy lindo, la atención que te da el dueño es PÉSIMA. Como se puede ver en otros comentarios, la atención del señor RICARDO deja muchísimo que desear (no así la atención de Romina que fue divina, pero lamentablemente todo se habla con el señor). Nuestra estadía empezó llegando a las 12:30 al hotel con la idea de quedarnos en la pile hasta poder ingresar a la habitación (cosa que te ofrecer absolutamente TODOS los hoteles), pero cuando entramos con el auto, el señor nos dice que el check in es a las 15hs y no podíamos entrar. Hizo que nos fuéramos, para a las hora mandarnos un msj diciendo q ya podíamos ingresar. Hablando un poco del lugar, es precioso pero también un poco mentiroso, ya que muchas de las cosas que se ven NO SE PUEDEN USAR; el proyector, la bañera, la parrilla, las zonas comunes (excusándose con que es por protocolo, pero el señor se encuentra por todo el hotel y entra a las habitaciones SIN BARBIJO), y no cuenten con wifi pq no funciono en los 3 días que estuvimos. La limpieza también muy mala, las toallas te las cambian cada 4 días, cosa que en NINGÚN lado está aclarado, semejante hotel y no te pueden cambiar las toallas. Además tuve una situación HORRIBLE, al 3er día del hospedaje abrí el tacho de basura del baño y me encontré con toallitas femeninas (cosa que yo no estaba usando esos días). Me acerco a Ricardo para comentarle eso, y su única respuesta fue “no se que decirte, no entro nadie” de muy mala gana, le vuelvo a repetir que no se que es lo que paso, pero q estábamos hace 3 días y yo no estaba usando, y su única respuesta una tras otra vez era la misma, que no había entrado nadie y no sabía que decirme, en ningún momento se le escapó NI DE CASUALIDAD un disculpa por la situación. Le dije que sii no entro nadie entonces no me sacaban la basura hace más de 3 días, y q no era nada agradable abrir el tacho y ver toallitas femeninas de Anda a saber quien. Muy firme con su actitud soberbia me responde “puede pasar”. Les parece que puede pasar? En un hotel de este nivel que no saquen la basura del BAÑO desde anda a saber cuándo y que nisiquiera se les escape una disculpas!? A mi me parece una total falta de respeto. Luego de esa contestación me enoje un poco y el señor, continuando con su actitud, me levanta el dedo y me comienza a gritar “a mi no me levantes el tono. A mi no me levantes el tono”. Literalmente senti MIEDO del señor que tuve que decirle que me disculpe por levantarle el tono (CUANDO EL ME ESTABA GRITANDO y hablando de una forma muy soberbia). En fin, nunca supe sii fue un error de no sacar la basura, o sii alguien entro a mi habitación cuando yo no estaba, ya que jamás de ofreció a mirar las cámaras ni absolutamente nada. Solo se ENOJO EL por un error del hotel que tiene a cargo. En fin, nosotros tuvimos una experiencia horrible, y sii bien el hotel es hermoso, hay muchísimos hoteles que también lo son y te brindan una atención de lujo. No vale ni un solo peso del que pagamos (que por cierto, no es para nada barato). Obviamente van a responder este comentario al igual que el otro comentario qué hay de una estrella, pero fue 100% así. No se hospeden acá y ahórrense una mala...

We spent two weeks touring Chile and Argentina and our time at El Carmelo Mountain Lodge was unquestionably our favorite. Outstanding accommodations, food, and service. The views were unbelievable, truly breathtaking. We were so pleased that we chose not to leave the premises during our 2-day stay. We spent our days lounging at the poolside cabanas, sunning on the meditation deck, and taking a stroll on the horse trail behind the lodge. The manager, Sibille, provided exceptional service throughout our stay; she was incredibly attentive and kind. Not to mention, having our meals served in our room overlooking the Andes was incredibly romantic. The food was excellent, and the menu was fresh and diverse.
