Wonderful place to stay in El Calafate. I wasn’t prepared for how stunning the views are! A really peaceful haven to start / end your Patagonia trip. The staff are so kind and helpful - always contactable via WhatsApp, and making me feel really welcome, like a home away from home. Yes, it’s a short taxi ride or (c1h) scenic walk into town, but you are closest to the glacier for expeditions. I would definitely come back to stay here again!

A lovely place where to stay in El Calafate. The place has a great view on lago Argentino and is 5 minutes drive time to the El Calafate town center. Room are not big but are comfortable and quite. Wifi is working fine. Breakfast is complete and rich of good things to eat before jumping in the ice! I would strongly recommend this structure.

Our family had the displeasure of staying here in January. All we needed was a place to sleep and eat that was near the glacier and this hotel failed to deliver even that. ||We arrived late the first night. We all agreed that the hotel was run down and not at all up to our normal standards but we just needed to sleep so it wasn’t an issue. ||On our second day we arrived back from the glacier excited to eat and relax after a day of trekking. We were promptly and rudely informed by the man at the front desk that there was no dinner available as the restaurant was closed that day. This is something he easily could have mentioned the day before when he checked us in, as there was nothing within waking distance. He did not though. Nor did he mention there were restaurants in town that would in fact deliver to the hotel. We found this our on our own and when we mentioned it to him he simply said “I know”. ||Fine. Our hotel looks like a dump and doesn’t serve food. Fine. We’ve accepted this. Although we also came back from our trek to find our room freezing. When we told the rude man at the front desk he nonchalantly told us we had to wait an hour for it to work. We had had our heat on since the morning though so upon actually checking he found out there was no heat in the entire hotel! ||Fine. We move on past this to enjoy our takeout dinner together as a family at the hotel. However when we go to buy bottles of water THEY HAD RUN OUT OF THAT TOO. ||This hotel failed to provide even the basics. We had a place to sleep, yes. But as for amenities or hospitality that they had listed on the brochure? They couldn’t even provide food and water. It wasn’t just a lack of hospitality. The man at the desk was flat out rude. ||My best advice is to stay far...

I booked a room here looking at some of the reviews. The hotel is away from the town Centre and 20 mins from the airport. It has poor WiFi and one can hear a lot of creaks when it is windy. Those are the cons. ||The reason I would go back to this hotel is the staff, the view and the room sizes. We were treated so warmly by Valeria and Veronica the two girls who were the concierges in the place. Every request dealt with charm and friendliness. They ordered taxis, suggested places to eat, made sure we were picked up at the airport when we arrived and from the bus terminal when we came back to El Calafate from El Chalten. I cannot praise them enough. When we went to Perito Moreno we picked up the lunch boxes and the veg sandwich was one of the best I’ve had. The breakfast was sumptuous except the eggs are watery. It only cost between 200 to 250 pesos to go into town. They have a lovely patio to relax on...
