After spending 15hr waiting to pass through customs at the Argentine border, the warm reception that we received at the Querencia lodge was a welcome surprise. The owner was very accommodating when it turned out that our online booking was for a 2 bed suite instead of the 3 bed suite that we needed, and quickly changed our room. This wonderful service continued throughout our stay, with the owners coming to our rescue when we were pulled over by the Gendarmerie (frontier guards), who threatened to impound our car. Read moreArrived at airport at midnight, our lodge had arranged for taxi to accommodate 8 to pick us up. Arrived at the lodge, and our extremely gracious host had hot empanadas, salad, & wine ready for us. Rooms are small but very comfortable. Beds sleep well. Each room has its own bath/shower. House is spacious and very nicely laid out and decorated. 8:AM and our house attendant is busy making breakfast. Our host helped us throughout the week with tours and arranging taxi's, could not have asked for a more caring host....

Meike was fantastic at helping us book winery tours, horseback riding, and even drove us to an ATM when we realized we didn't have enough cash. She was incredible, and the home was lovely as well. It's located on an out of the way stone road, and is incredibly peaceful. The rooms were great, and every morning her colleague Nancy would come to make us breakfast and she was incredibly sweet. I would absolutely recommend for groups of friends...
