This boutique hotel is located about 10 minutes by car from Cafayate - in an old building in the midst of green vineyards...||We had a spacious colonial-style suite with a balcony on the upper floor. The only "negative" feature was the missing shower cabin. I simply dislike taking showers in a bathtub with a curtain...|The hotel pool is at the edge of a huge garden with lounge chairs being found all across the ground.||They have a large inside restaurant which - during our stay - had only been used for setting up the breakfast buffet. As the weather was gorgeous meals were served on the terrace or underneath the mighty trees in the garden. We had an excellent dinner on both evenings accompanied by their Tukma wines. One afternoon we ordered a ham and cheese platter - after a long wait they surprised us with the most opulent "picada" which would easily have fed three people...||Regrettably we had to skip the wine tasting as it was in Spanish only. But we watched the group from a table nearby and they seem to have had a lot of fun with the "sommelière". ||The staff was very attentive and we would definitely come back if we had...
Read moreThis is the best hotel we have been to in Argentina, the place is just wonderful and the employees are very nice! The location is beautiful, surrounded by vineyards, the hotel's architecture is stunning (it looks like a Spanish "masia" or a countryside house in Italy's Tuscany). When we arrived they gave us a room in the first floor and asked for a room in the floor above to have better views, they did all they could to change our room free of charge. They also offered a free wine-tasting, so we had the chance to try all of their wines with some cheese platters (white, red, rose, from the cheaper end to the very expensive end) with a professional sommelier. The hotel offers some activities (we did a horseback-riding excursion). In the evening the garden and the terrace are full of people enjoying some nice wine, the atmosphere is really magical. A lot of people ignore the area of Cafayate (and head to Mendoza instead), that is a big mistake, not only do I think that Cafayate wine is nicer but the area is beautiful. I strongly recommend...
Read moreCan't even begin to say enough great things about this hotel. My mom, partner and I stayed here for six nights over the Christmas holiday. It was so incredible! Not only is the setting absolutely breathtaking, the rooms more than comfortable and everything from the restaurant delicious - the staff seriously makes it feel like home. Montserrat is a lovely woman who keeps the hotel in top form, Sebastian and the rest of the waitstaff are outrageously attentive and kind, the list goes on and on. There was one morning WiFi and we complained (we're remote workers), they had it fixed and running at an excellent speed within an hour. No easy feat being in Cafayate! My absolute favorite thing about our stay was the Christmas Eve celebration. It was one for the books, such a magical evening with the hotel staff and the rest of the guests.||||I would not stay anywhere else in Cafayate. I wish I was back at...
