Exceptionally beautiful camping ground!

I’ve spent one of my best Christmas in such a familiar atmosphere in Campo Base! The whole staff is sympathetic and helpfull. Very good restaurant with a wonderful view of rio azul, where you can also do rafting. A good place to start hiking tours, too!!! Beautiful surroundings and the stuff helps you with planing your activities. clean bathrooms and showers always, with and 24/7 hot water. Leña and parilla!

Incredible spot on the crystal-clear blue river, with a great restaurant and even better hosts. We camped there for 3 nights, with the tent and roll matts being lent to us by Nahui and Shannon. We didn’t have a car so got an affordable taxi from the town centre. It was a pretty quiet weekend with only a few other campers there, so we were able to fully enjoy the tranquility of the area and the picturesque walks up the river. What an amazing place!! The river next to the campground is the perfect way to cool down on a hot day. It is beautifully located with campgrounds in shady areas and a big fireplace for a late night stargazing and the wood oven pizzas are amazing!
