Calfuco Wine Hotel & Spa — Hotel in Municipio de Villa La Angostura

My wife and I had a great time at Calfuco Wine Hotel & Spa.

Service: Excellent Service, our dietary restrictions were happily attended to. Room is cleaned and bed prepared multiple times a day. During dinner, they come to the room, make it ready for sleep, and put a small piece of dessert (Macaroon, Chocolate, Alfajores, and bottle of water). If you have clothes left on bed, they fold it for you.

Food: The chef is talented. We tried a couple of interesting dishes plus creative take ons on some of the usual dishes. The breakfast is excellent, eggs are made on demand and special requests are accommodated happily.

Spa: Nice and refreshing. Sauna needs to maintain heat better but it’s just a big room.

Activities: Awesome! They have free Kayaks and Mountain Bikes available for free.

Chilling: Lounge area is great, you can sit by the fire and play some board games - we played lots of scrabble. By the beach, there is another fire place and you can order Mate and snacks and they will give it to you in a fancy leather bag.

What makes this hotel special is that it’s not busy and the experience is very personal. The staff is nice and lovely. We gave them a hard time with our non-existent Spanish but they were happy to use Google Translate or even hand gestures :) Juan, the hotel manager, as well as Tamara at the restaurant, they spoke really good English and helped us a lot when we were around.

I’d definitely recommend this place for an escape from the busy work days and to connect with nature.

Tip: Don’t count on Internet. Wifi and phone signal are not great. You can consider it a chance to connect...

We have no words to express our feelings after our stay in this incredible hotel. I hope their management team are looking at this comment because we would like to say: you have the most incredible staff in the world!! We are pointing out each one that made our stay the most remarkable: Leonardo and Emiliano, from the reception team. They are excepcional, giving us amazing tips about Villa La Angostura. Always with great smile, even when showing us the hotel and taking us to the kayak deck! Then we met Florencia, what a super waitress! She was so cute and treated us with so much love that we will never forget our conversations and great time together. Of course we could not forget Thomas and his greats drinks. He is shy but a very special guy. Also we have met Yamila in the breakfast, so sweet and caring. Always a pleasure to be with her in the mornings. To finish, we wanted to say to Sami: you have provided us amazing sweets, cakes and delicious food. To all team of Calfuco Hotel: our very big THANK YOU. Hope to see you all soon. Ps.: the hotel structure is super modern with great views of the lake. The heated swimming pool was out of this world: so relaxing!!
