We liked a lot the feeling of being at home in a familiar environment at Casa Yaguareté. Lorena made us feel welcome from the first moment, sharing stories about Argentina, Mexico, Brazil during breakfast what gave us a good understanding and enriched a lot our experience.||||The bedroom is big, with a lot of natural light and good space, you can see trees and the garden from the windows and there is silence and peace all around.||||We personally love animals and it was fantastic to connect every morning with the cats and dogs that for those 4 days were our pets :)||||It is true that we expected Puerto de Iguazu to be more developed in general. It has some dirt roads and street illumination at night is not great in the area but no complains, hopefully there will be more investment in the area but this is nothing to do with Casa Yaguareté, you need to understand the context where you are.||||The location of Casa Yaguareté was good, we could go to some attractions (animals reserve and natives tribes center) by walk or bike from the accommodation. Lorena kindly borrowed us two bikes. Taxis come to pick you on the door to take you whatever you need.||||We appreciated breakfast and the dinners that Lorena cooked for us, tasty and at a very reasonable price. ||||Internet worked perfect and the only issue we had was running out of water at some moments but telling Lorena in advance, she connects the other source of water and problem solved. ||||Thanks Lorena for your hospitality. We wish you all the...
Read moreI had the most amazing stay at Casa Yagurte. Lorena went above and beyond her duties as a host to provide me with one of the most memorable stays I've had anywhere in my life. I have travelled extensively around the world and I will never forget her kindness and generosity.||||The room I stayed in was totally private and totally separate from the main house. It was extremely clean and comfortable with great air conditioning and working wifi. The shower was great with piping hot water whenever I wanted it. The area is also quiet and a little out of town which I greatly appreciated.||||The breakfast was wonderful and Lorena made me scrambled eggs every morning of my stay.||||The most amazing thing about my visit, was the help that Lorena gave me to organise my trip to Iguazo and beyond. I wanted to go horse riding in the Argentinian Wetlands and Lorena went out of her way to research my wishes and even call people on my behalf and on her own dime. She kindly found out all the travel details I needed including what time and where I needed to be when, including all bus times.||||While all this was being sorted she invited me to a BBQ and when I offered to pay for the meal, Lorena would not take anything.||||Like I say in my review title - I was completely humbled by the incredible hospitality and generosity of Lorena at Casa Yaguarte.||||What a wonderful woman and a wonderful stay. I would recommend...
Read moreWe were supposed to stay for 2 nights and we ended up staying 5 days. The rooms are comfortable, clean and bright. One step out of the room and you are in this big garden with lots of fruit trees, dogs and cats. They all are very friendly so if you like animals, your heart will be filled up with joy. ||Lorena is very helpful and sweet. From the moment you arrive she will give you a map and explain you everything there is to see around. ||The place is a bit far from the centre. You can walk if you have energy or Lorena has several taxi drivers in her contact list, and it is pretty cheap. It is not further than where the actual inhabitants of Puerto Iguazu are living, so you can feel like them ;)||Eventually, thank you for the delicious breakfast! Whenever you wake up, you get fruit salad, bread, croissants, eggs and different types of jam. Besides Lorena let us eat lots of avocadoes, pomeloes and lime from the garden. Thank you again!||This is no fancy place at all, but for all travellers that like rustic style and staying close to nature, you will get absolutely everything you might need there. I definitely...
