Hotel Las Chirimoyas — Hotel in Salta

Lovely room with garden access. Well equipped and pristinely clean. After having stayed in a bit of an authentic but sort of rough estancia, the fluffy white towels and crisp bed linen felt very luxurious. Delicious, if a bit naughty, breakfast (more dulce de leche, anyone?). Amazing owners who stopped at nothing to make sure we were happy and had what we needed. The owner herself got out of bed extra-early on the morning we left to ensure we got our breakfast well before the generally scheduled time. Travelling with two children, things like a constant supply of (free) bottled water, which we were even given to us to take in our onward trip to El Calafate, gave us peace of mind and were appreciated. The location, the Tres Cerritos area, is quiet and looks very smart compared to the rest of Salta.It is not in the town centre but that did not matter at all as it was within a few minutes of it by taxi ("remis" much better than taxi, they are not the same in Argentina: you phone for a remis but hail a taxi). Nos hospedamos una semana en el Hotel Las Chirimoyas con mi pareja y nuestra beba de 1 mes y medio. Estas fueron nuestras apreciaciones: Habitación: estuvimos en la nro 2, colchón y almohadas malos; baño extremadamente pequeño y justo. El techo del baño tiene un plástico que suena muy fuerte cuando llueve, al parecer se trata de un ventiluz que gotea ahí. No cuenta con frigobar ni teléfono. La única ventana con la que cuenta la habitación da a la terraza, es pequeña pero linda y cómoda. Tiene mesas y sillas para usar. Instalaciones en general: se nota que es una casa antigua pero bien mantenida. Excepto un baño para uso de todos los huéspedes, estaba en muy malas condiciones de higiene cuando lo quisimos utilizar. Los estacionamientos están buenos, la ubicación también. Es muy lindo el barrio y queda cerca de lugares para comer, shoppings, etc. Pileta: fue una completa mentira. Si bien no pudimos meternos ningún día de la semana que nos quedamos porque llovía, nada que ver la foto con la que promocionan en relación al aspecto de la pileta cuando estuvimos en el hotel. Justamente lo elegimos porque cuenta con rejas (por nuestra hija). Adjuntamos foto. Desayuno: es muy básico. Sirven cuando te sientas a la mesa porque no es estilo bufet: café (muy fuerte o muy feo) con leche, jugo de naranja (no exprimido sino de caja), exactamente una feta de queso y otra de jamón por persona, tortillas, facturas y pan lactal. Acompañado de mermeladas, dulce de leche y queso untable en descartables individuales chiquitos. No tenían otras opciones sin harina ni tacc. Les solicitamos frutas y lo consideraron, al día siguiente había. Atención: no es 24 hs, quisimos calentar la comida para la cena y nunca pudimos ingresar al Comedor xq no había nadie encargada y estaba cerrado con llave. No cuentan con espacios para niñas/os. Es para destacar la buena disposición de las chicas que trabajan allí Particularmente de Eli). También es importante mencionar que ellas además de encargarse de la administración del ingreso y egreso de huéspedes, también deben limpiar el hotel, hacer el desayuno y varias actividades más. I stayed here for 4 nights over Christmas in Salta and absutely loved this this place. It is in the nice and quiet Tres Cerritos neighborhoud but still only 5 min away from the city center. My room was absolutely great, quite large and a nice bathroom. AC is there, and the complex even has a small pool. But best of all is the family atmosphere being a guest of Jorge and Solidad, the owners, really felt like being part of the family... can only recommend...
