Hotel Lihuel Calel — Hotel in Santa Rosa

I would recommend this hotel as an overnight stop for a budget-minded traveller.||||Pros:||Our room was very clean and quiet. We all slept well. ||The linens were nicer than I would have expected for the price. The AC worked. The water was hot and the pressure good. Soap and shampoo and conditioner provided. There is a swimming pool, which was full of happy kids when we arrived.||||The price was attractive and as posted (360 pesos for a single and 500 pesos for a double room) and we got an extra 10% off for cash.||||Cons (or at least things to be aware of):||No view: our window looked into the parking area. ||Twin beds were narrower than a US twin. ||A dearth of electrical outlets: I used the two-pin outlet in the bathroom to charge the phone and unplugged the AC unit to charge the computer from the three-pin outlet.||In our bathroom, the toilet located in the shower stall — not a good arrangement although my husband pointed out the time savings of doing two things at once in the morning and having moist toilet paper for the whole day. (The room next door had the bidet in the shower stall — much better -- I hope that's the usual configuration.)||||Restaurant||We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant. There weren't other dining options within walking distance (as far as we could tell). The restaurant was popular, we waited about 20 minutes without a reservation. The food was solid and tipico. El resplandor. El hotel no sé si está mal o bien ubicado, está sobre la ruta y supongo que eso debe ser útil... No hay negocios a su alrededor, una pizzería, un restaurante de baja calidad y alto precio y una estación de servicio axion de buena atención y con cajero. El hotel... Un ancho hotel blanco con una pequeña recepción antigua y a su lado una puertita, para una persona, que comunica al lobby con el pasillo que desemboca en sus más o menos 50 o 60 o más habitaciones... Es la entrada a un laberinto blanco con puertas y alguna que otra bifurcación para encontrar más puertas y más pasillos. Un pesadilla... Una vez que pasaste unas 20 o 25 habitaciones quizá esté la tuya a izquierda o derecha... No tiene habilitada ninguna puerta o salida de emergencia, por lo cual si pasara algo, tendrías que tirarte por el balcón. La habitación está limpia, tiene una tele un aire empotrado que lo maneja el conserje y una calefacción central que también la maneja el conserje... Un infierno ... El baño, no tiene bañadera, el inodoro está un cuarto de el, ocupando el espacio donde cae la ducha... Si sos XL ya no entras y la ducha tiene una cortina de plástico finito que se te pega al cuerpo... Si fuiste a pasar unos lindos días te amargas. El desayuno!!! Un café con leche y dos medialunas son la única opción del desayuno, en un momento traían el café express Pero la modalidad cambió a filtro. Atienden dos señoras que le ponen onda Pero no alcanzan a cubrir las necesidades si se superan las 4 mesas... Tenés que ir con gran paciencia y media hora para que te sirvan. Después lo que tardes en desayunar.... No recomiendo este hotel Viajo todos los fines de semana por todo el país y este es uno de los peores desde Ushuaia a la Quiaca. El conserje tiene buena onda, el hotel está limpio. Únicos puntos a favor de este hotel ideal para una película de terror... We have stayed here twice now and both times we were greeted and shown our rooms with some enthusiasm. The room we requested this time was on the first floor and not one you need a map to locate. The rooms are clean and yes they are old. One outlet in the bathroom and one for the ac...really not kidding. Now the crazy bathroom with the shower drain between the toilet and bidet. Too funny really! Anyways, for the price and one night it works for us. Plus the pool and restaurant make up for the other...
