I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Cozy House in Dilijan, Armenia, and I feel compelled to share my overwhelmingly negative experience to warn fellow travelers. My overnight stay in March 2024 was nothing short of a nightmare, and I strongly advise against considering this property for your accommodation needs.
Upon entering the room, I was shocked to find it in an unacceptable state. The rooms were extremely cold and dusty. Bedsheets were worn out, and one even had a hole in it. Hairs were scattered across the room and to my horror, I discovered someone's underwear left on the drawer - a clear indication that the cleaning standards are well below par.
The coffee provided was nothing more than fake Nespresso tablets, leaving a bitter taste in both my mouth and my overall experience.
The bathroom was a breeding ground for mold, emanating a terrible smell that permeated the entire room. The lack of proper ventilation and cleanliness standards contributed to an unsanitary and uncomfortable environment.
The breakfast, touted as a highlight, was a disappointment. Served in an outdated Soviet style, it lacked variety and freshness. Additionally, the non-working coffee machine only added to the frustration of a subpar dining experience. No
Cozy House is situated right on the highway, offering no escape from the noise. This severely limits any chance of a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
Considering the deplorable conditions and lackluster amenities, the Cozy House is grossly overpriced. This stay was a regrettable waste of money, and I strongly advise against spending your cash on such an underwhelming experience. In conclusion, my stay at Cozy House in Dilijan, Armenia, was nothing short of a disaster. This property falls far short of the expectations one would have for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Save yourself the trouble and look for alternative...
Read moreAbsolutely incredible hotel in Armenia dedicated to the works of Tolkien, and I was absolutely amazed! Each cottage here is a separate hobbit hole, and it truly feels like a journey into the magical world of Middle-earth. The design of the cottages is simply stunning: round doors, cozy interiors, and picturesque views—all creating the atmosphere of a real hobbit village.I especially want to highlight the attention to detail and the hospitality of the staff. Every morning we were greeted with a delicious breakfast, and the evenings were spent enjoying the stunning views and cozy atmosphere. Now, for the most interesting part: there is an ancient legend that the first hobbits actually lived in Armenia. They found the perfect place for their burrows here, thanks to the picturesque mountains and green valleys. Over time, they moved to Middle-earth, but traces of their presence remained. This hotel is living proof of that! You can confidently say that here, you can truly feel like a real hobbit.I wholeheartedly recommend all Tolkien fans to visit this amazing corner of Armenia. You...
Read moreWere were in Dilijan for 4 days for our sons graduation. Four of us in one of their 2-bedroom cozy houses. My son then joined us for the last night and the team was happy to provide an extra bed, for which there was space too in one of the rooms. Such a beautiful place to stay. Quiet and scenic. The rooms were very comfortable and equipped with everything you we needed from nice coffee and tea to a mini fridge and even USB plugs by the bedsides and TV in the room too, which we never used because we were out all the time. Great WIFi. Only thing missing was a larger mirror in the bedrooms which could go on one of the walls as there is plenty of empty wall space. We loved the generous daily breakfast basket and they were very nice to respond to our dietary requirements. The staff was fabulous and super polite. Sophie, the manager was wonderful and also the fellow who helped us with general things around the compound an lso with our luggage, (sorry, can't remember his name). It's not your traditional hotel nor airbnb. But if you are looking for something quirky and different, this...
