Beautiful nature around, but I had a bad experience: with a discount I paid 28K AMD ($58) (which is very expensive) and it wasn't worth it. It was my birthday (Dec. 21) and we planned to have good rest, the hotel was almost empty, sauna not working, pool water very cold, bubbling pool was also cold and got turned on only after us asking. Fitting rooms next to the pool were also very cold, almost freezing, only one of two showers next to the ladie's fitting room had hot water, none of two showers at men's fitting room had hot water. My husband couldn't take shower.
Later in the evening we were told that the dinner is going to be held in Karaoke hall (restaurant-like space) and the time of dinner was changed. We came to have dinner, saw around 60 people, owners, the personnel having a party in the karaoke hall. Very loud awful music, crazy environment, lots of food, all was awfully disturbing. It turned out the personnel was having a new year party and they decided to unite the dinner for guests with the party. Of course it was very kind of them, but NOT PROFESSIONAL!
Nobody asked us if we would like to join the party or have dinner separately. Music was so loud we came to our room and...
Read morePros: the hotel is in a beautiful location, peaceful, surrounded by beautiful greenery. The size of the site is large, allowing kids to have space to play and not constantly bump into each other. ||||Cons: The food selection is very limited and bland. The salads are tasteless with barely any dressing. The selection of hot foods is also very limited (chewy pork, anyone?) which is tough when you have picky kids. The family rooms are located on the 3rd floor walk-up, unless you get a cottage. The doors are heavy and very difficult to open, it’s something to do either with the locks or the doors themselves. There doesn’t seem to be enough staff around for the size of the location. Some things like hair dryers or water kettle are missing from the rooms, and getting them can take a long time. ||||Also, I saw a person smoking in the inside bar (which is no longer allowed by Armenia’s laws). I complained about it only to be told by the staff member at the bar that it was ok, which it’s not (since the hotel can be fined for it). ||||Generally, a less than average experience. If not for the beautiful location, definitely NOT a good...
Read moreI had a great holiday at Ani Resort with my family for 2 days. First, we took a cottage and the next day moved to a double room. The hotel was clean. The staff was super hospitable and friendly, always willing to help in case of anything. The location was exceptional, with mountain views all covered with forests. in the morning the air was super fresh, so your lungs might get surprised when breathing that air. The pool was amazing, the water was clean and pleasantly warm, especially the smaller one, so you never get worried for your kids to swim longer and get a cold. |The food was delicious and fresh and every time new dishes to chose from. |New towels were offered in the pool, so no need to take your own or take there from your room. |On Saturday evening we enjoyed live violin plays and danced. |Just minor disadvantages: the swimming pool closes too earlier, at 7 pm. The gym equipment was...
