Shame on you Sporties for the terrible changes you have made…
We have stayed at Bullanginya every year since it first opened 30 years ago. It has always offered great comfort and convenience for our large group with well appointed two bedroom apartments and convenient basic cooking facilities. Under Sporties new management this is no more. We arrived for our long weekend to find the arm chairs have been removed from the rooms with nowhere comfortable to sit and watch tv. All cooking equipment and utensils (bowls, basins, small plates, cooking equipment, portable two plate stove, pots, pans and the electric fry pan) have been removed from the rooms. The long handled bbq utensils have been removed from the bbq area making any kind of self catering difficult. No one we talked to seemed to care. These units are advertised as self contained - they are now far from it. Shame on you Sporties for these totally unnecessary changes. You can do...

Read moreI was part of a large golf group that has been coming to the Cobram Barooga Golf Club at this time of the year for 20 years, though in my case it’s probably only 10 or so. The main accommodation at Bridges Villas was available to some of us. I was part of the remainder assigned to one of six units at Bulanginya Lodge, which had been recently acquired by Sporties. It is walking distance from the club. The buildings are fairly old but our stay was comfortable. Importantly, as the weather was very cold, the shower worked well. The rooms are not fully serviced on a daily basis but they will collect rubbish, top up tea and coffee or swap over towels...
