We enjoyed a beautiful weekend at Meander Retreat. We absolutely loved every minute, from the moment we walked in to the moment we said goodbye to our lovely host. The studio itself was immaculate, and not a stone was left unturned! From the pizza stone to the optional dog linen, and not to mention the delicious breakfast supplies including homemade bread and condiments. Evelyn was so friendly and helpful, and a delight to chat to. She made some wonderful recommendations, and knows the local area and its makers really well. The herb garden, and orchid were such a beautiful treat, and we enjoyed a fresh kale and tomato salad straight from the garden, and the most flavoursome apricots, plums, and mulberries, fresh from the trees. Pablo, our furry child, felt at home straight away and he and Evelyn became friends immediately. If you want to go away to somewhere remote (but not to far to get to) and feel your stress leave you, and feel like you just went to paradise - this is the retreat for you!
I love living in the city but it was SO LOVELY to fly to Hobart and do a 3 hour roadtrip (only 1 hour from Launceston) with my Tas friend to this retreat.
The people and scenery are what made this retreat ultra special. So kind and fun! But the schedule was also so amazing! We had afternoons off to swim in the creek and read - but most of the time we were either eating delicious food in the garden (from the garden!) or in a yoga or chanting workshop! Daily yoga nidra is the ultimate luxury. And as this was a NYE retreat it was really fun and special to get creative making vision boards!
I just got home and it all feels like an incredible dream, all surrounded by Tasmanian mountains.
Such a magical and special place.

Honestly if I could give a higher rating i would. Our stay here was so much more wonderful than I could have ever expected. Evelyn was wonderfully accommodating and a delightful host. The property is absolutely gorgeous, our Lab had the time of her life exploring the gardens and it really felt like a home away from home. I was completely gobsmacked that the breakfast items were all home made, from breads to preserves to Granola. I was already recommending the place to people the first day into our stay and can't wait for the next time I visit the area to stay here again.
