Beechworth on Bridge Motel — Hotel in Beechworth

The owners/hosts were refreshingly sweet, kind and welcoming. Our stay was over Christmas and they were more than accommodating to support me and my family.

The pool - salt water and fantastic! My daughter was in the pool three times a day and the shade provided from the trees and outdoor setting was perfect.

Gardens - you can stroll through the backyards where you will be greeted by nature and birds, well maintained. Loved all the shade provided from the trees. Also found a few frogs!

Family suite - two single beds and a queen size bed, extremely comfortable and soft, the pillows were great as well, two pillows per single bed and four for the queen. The couch is also a pullout bed! Kitchen fridge is full size. Would love a stand fan in the front room though. (Personal preference) lounge Tv had Netflix, Stan, Disney, Amazon, YouTube and a DVD player which you could hire movies (brought back the good old days) front room has a small TV and dvd player.

Air con - saved our lives with 37 degree temperatures consecutively. Works a treat.

Breakfast - made with love and was really filling! We tried all the cooked meals and don’t have one bad thing to say.

Bathroom - tub shower which wasn’t expected and plugs provided to bath the little ones. (Curtains and curtain rod could do with an update though) plenty of storage space under the sink.

Private deck area - cosy and accomodating.

BBQs - were hard to start but done the job.

Area - situated on the outskirts of town (2min drive) and right next to the beautiful gorge, there is a park for the kids right across the road as well, we didn’t use this as it was too hot. Plenty of wineries around (5 minute drive)

Would I stay here again? Absolutely!!! We booked a cheeky extra night as we were thrilled with our stay.

I have rated this motel a 3 but it would have been e 4 were it not for the shower and the heater problem.||Situated just outside the town of Beechworth (about 20 minute walk) this is a pleasant establishment of about 15 units.||Set in a nice surroundings including small outdoor relaxing areas including a BBQ area and a small swimming pool.||The units are pretty standard size with all the usual fittings including a king bed in our case which was very comfortable||The bathroom is decidedly small, and water pressure just so so, but it is modern and well appointed.||The shower does not drain properly and water level rises in the well almost covering the feet. Water remains at that level for at least 15 minutes and as such a second person needs to wait for fear of overflowing the shower.||On one night it was a bit cool so we tried the reverse cycle heater mounted almost over the bed. It blew tiny particles of dus all over the place so much that we needed to turn it off for fear of sinus difficulties||Breakfast is provided and included in the nightly Tariff, with options of cereals , toast etc, or choice of two hot meals (poached eggs, bacon, and tomato or eggs Benedict) the hot meals were very good. Breakfast is delivered to the door at a scheduled time.||We enjoyed our stay there despite the problems...

BEECHWORTH'S HIDDEN SECRET The Beechworth on Bridge is a delightful motel just on the outskirts of town. Tranquil and spacious with easy onsite parking .. yet only 2 min drive to the action! Rooms are well maintained and come complete with quality-brand TVs, DVD players (with a range of dvd movies available at reception). Our room was a double (ie two separate bedrooms) which is a nice option for friends travelling together. Additional outdoor dining setting with gas bbq was a great touch! Room eqipped with kitchenette... sink, microwave, bench oven, tosster, jug, coffee machine (complete with pods) and full size fridge. Cutlery, crockery and kitchen utensils in cupboard. Dining table and four chairs. Heating and cooling as well as electric blsnkets on each bed. Bathroom with shower and toilet. Strong flowing hot water, plush towels, hair dryer and shampoos and conditioners. A highlight of the stay was the complimentary breakfast served to your room. A choice of continental style , porridge ( a very generous bowl you could easily share) or full-on eggs and bacon on toast! Each comes with a fruit juice. Very quiet at night.. no traffic noise. Staff were cheery and helpful. Overall... one of the friendliest, cleanest and most comfortable motels I've stayed in. Thank you forcan...
