Perfect winter getaway location ! Yes - it is not located on the lakeside. It is not as big and well promoted like the RAC Karri Valley resort. It also doesn't have onsite restaurant and general store like RAC's resort.

However, its location is very private and secluded inside the karri forest. The place is so charming that makes you feel you are in a magical place deep in the wood.

There are only 7 cottages onsite which makes it a perfect retreat place. Not too crowded and not too lonely. Each of the cottage is equipped with a spa, fireplace and bbq equipment so you can relax and enjoy your time away from the rest of the world.

Our cottage was the Robin Hood which has two bedrooms with Queen size beds. Perfect for a family with 2 kids. The place was surprisingly very comfy and had all the necessary equipments, including a rechargeable torch (which is very useful as it is very dark outside at night). All the equipment's instructions are provided in details, which is very thoughtful of the owners.

The hospitality of the owners are excellent. From the moment of arrival, we were explained the best attractions surrounding the place and how to get there. They are even willing to go the extra miles to make calls to reserve a place at local restaurants. The heater was turned on to give us a homy and cosy welcome on arrival. Nothing was too difficult for them to make us feel at home.

The children were so happy that they could borrow some movies and board games. There were some Wallabies hopping around our cottage which excited the children. The children were also allowed to feed the chooks and collect the eggs.

We love this place so much and highly recommend it as a winter...

Heaven on Earth in Gretel. Tranquil, beautiful, kangaroos at your doorstep and frogs hopping near the porch. There isn't too much information on what exactly is included in the cottage so for those looking, the answer is: everything. In the kitchen you've got a fridge and freezer, microwave, stove, mini conventional oven, toaster, kettle and BBQ. Every dish you could ever need- plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, cups, cutlery, pans, pots, coffee plunger, utensils. Salt, pepper, oil, tea, coffee, all provided. Everything you need to maintain the place as well. There is a TV in the living room and a massive one in the bedroom, both equipped with a DVD player. Though we couldn't light the fire yet there was an aircon that heated the cottage perfectly. The spa is so deep and wide! Comfy bed, neat bathroom providing towels, soaps- everything. BEAUTIFUL VIEW! We had only one hang up (still five stars) which was the amount of spider webs coating the ceiling and crevices of the cottage. Easy to brush away but it made parts of the cottage a little spooky, so we didn't spend too much time in the living room. The decor, including the curtains and mantle pieces could do with an update or clean, but it did give the place a nice old-fashioned look. And obviously this is not fault on the cottage or the owners but be aware if you're not with Telstra, you won't have reception except near the office. Bev and Ken (and their pretty kitty!) are gorgeous hosts full of information on what to do and where to go. This place is worth...

My husband and I traveled to Beedelup House Cottages from Perth to have a get away weekend. We were very impressed with the cottages, we stayed in the Robin Hood cottage and found it was perfectly suited to a romantic getaway.

Bev the owner and grounds keeper was very friendly and accommodating. We borrowed umbrellas, games, dvds and she kindly let us use her large marron pot for cooking. We were even spoiled with fresh eggs from her chooks. (the chooks like to be pet)

The cottage was clean and tidy with a TV with DVD player, a large 2 person spa bath was perfect for a cold rainy night. The beds are comfortable and the cottage has reverse cycle heating and air-conditioning that worked very well. I was happy to find a cheese knife, plenty of wine glasses and even cooking oil on hand. This cabin has had a gas oven and stove top, we where about to cook two beautiful meals while staying in the Robin Hood cottage. I forgot to mention the large and clean BBQ on the porch! Perfect! You can't as for more. No phone and internet was a welcome relief, allowing us to switch off from our daily lives and just enjoy the tranquil Karri Trees.

This cottage is a perfect size for a couple or a family with small children. Its cozy and welcoming.

Can't...

This really depends on the room you get. We hired two bungalows, one was very good the other not so good. We stayed in one called Robin Hood. One of the original cottages. It had its charm but four people, very cramped. Tiny kitchen, small bathroom and very tight bedrooms. It was also very noisy, the walls were paper thin and the floor very creaky. Lots of movement too when you walk around. Not sounding like an elephant was quite the trick. Our bed wasn't very good either, soft and small. I'd give that particular cottage 2 stars. Other cottages are very different though, they've got some amazing cottages! My parents had a really good size bed that was very comfortable, a large kitchen and large bedroom. They'll be 4 stars and others even 5 stars. On the property isn't much on offer. They have something that used to be a tennis court which is great to play other games on. They also have DVDs you can borrow for free to watch, and a few games. Also plenty of kangaroos hopping around. Phone reception only works for Telstra and even that only just. But you can use wifi at reception. It's a 10 minute walk to the lake. I forgot to take photos of the rooms... 🙈

My husband and I spent the most magical weekend staying in the Hansel cottage last weekend... This place is beauty personified!! The Karri Forrest, the friendly wildlife, the accomodation is like you stepped into a literal fairytale!! And the BEST part.... No wifi!!!! It is funny how you sometimes need to "disconnect" to be able to reconnect... I would recommend this beautiful place to everyone and anyone!! We WILL be booking again... Infact, before we'd even driven to the bottom of the driveway, as we were leaving, my husband told me to book again!! 💕💕☺️☺️

Gorgeous little cottages tucked away in the middle of the Karri Forrest. We stayed in a little wooden self contained one which had a nice open fire place. There is no WiFi but that was fine because the company was great. Beverly and Ken are super helpful and accommodating and made several recommendations for dinner and activities which we all enjoyed. It's also within perfect walking distance to the Beedulup falls and the lake. We loved the stay here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice stay away.
