Grounds are well maintained. Toilets are as dirty as you'd expect of a drop toilet. Being a cheap campsite you will have some loud, non family friendly neighbours staying as well who don't care whether families are trying to settle children, but the site itself is secluded and offers nice hiking trails around it.

Off grid camping as there is no phone or internet reception. The grounds are well looked after with clearly marked spots and great fire pits. Creek water supplied to some spots and the pit toilets are quite clean. Cool and clean creek water can be used for a quick wash and a cool dip in summer months.

A great campsite with a large amount of space. Some sites are designated for vans and others for tents only. There is a small oval that divides the sites. Many sites share tables/fireplaces. A small rainwater tank with water that needs to be treated. A creek runs alongside the campgrounds.

The facilities are nice. The problem with this campsite are the people who come here and the location. Don't come to this one if you want to be in nature.

I was the only backpacker at this site, everyone else was a car camper or in a caravan. This means that at 8pm you're welcomed with a loud chorus of solar-panel-powered air mattress pumps and boomboxes that play until 11pm. The proximity of the campsite next to the C216 road means that all day you hear obnoxious motorcyclists roaring down the road about 50 meters from your campsite and convoys of caravans and utes.

In fact, the virtually urban campsite at the new Onkaparinga location was quieter and felt further removed from the city, despite the fact it's within 2 km of the Adelaide metro.

This park does have a field that is good for playing kids or friendly sports games. There are taps with river water in the middle of campsite clusters and rainwater at the bathrooms. Both need to be filtered to be drinkable.

After spending my night here, I wish instead I had stayed at the hike-in-only First Wannon Remote Campground which is reachable by hiking from the Mount William carpark. I parked at the Rosea carpark and hiked through Mount Rosea through to Borough Huts Saturday and returned Sunday. To top it off, Mount William is much prettier than the view from...

Pit toilets and rain water are appreciated by those who camp overnight here, especially hikers on the Grampians Peaks Trail. However, those hikers usually carry lighter (aluminium) tent pegs, which cannot be driven into the highly compacted ground of the tent sites. Many bent pegs, half driven in pegs and rocks-as-pegs the night I was there. The Campground Volunteers I met there this week were terrifically friendly...

We really enjoyed our first unpowered camping trip, it was so simple, kids didnt nag us about going the "playground" like at the big 4 sites - still too young to go by themselves. The kids loved the bush walks and the creek. Jumping rocks like in Bluey, the camp fires are well set up, we opted to boil our morning coffees in the billy on the fire. We had a great swim at belfield lake. Weather was wonderful for the...
