Bewong River Retreat — Hotel in Bewong

Thoroughly enjoyed this place for a number of reasons. Scott was warm and welcoming upon check in and to be offered a late check out of 12pm for no extra cost was a really nice touch. The cabins were situated away from the office and main roads and strategically placed so that you didn't hear or see your neighbors. I think the biggest and best drawcard for us was there were no children or teenagers around. This place is geared for the honeymooners or those couples wanting to spend quality time together in a romantic setting.||||Everything was self contained with a short drive to a Supermarket so you didn't have to go our if you didn't want too. The Double Spa in the room was a nice touch especially with the big windows looking straight out into the bush.||||The cabins were roomy and spacious. The kitchen adequately appointed although you might need to wash the cups, plates and cutlery before using. They were definitely not up to par.||||Found the pool table tucked away and a big outdoor open fire place with BBQ for communal cooking. A group of people could easily book out the 12 or so cabins for a weekend away.||||All in all a lovely place for a romantic getaway, honeymoon or just wanting to reconnect with each other. We could not have asked for a better venue! Bewong was the most beautiful property, with the perfect amount of cabins for your nearest and dearest to stay. Lee is an absolute legend and will make anything happen. She is an amazing communicator and was always quick to respond. There was never too big of an ask. I work in events and a lot of venues can make set up and pack down a pain, I have never worked at a venue that was so flexible with timings, which made everything a breeze to set up and pack down. It meant we could enjoy the whole weekend with our family and friends. Lee and her team can make it happen, we had to change our ceremony spot due to rain an hour before the guests arrived and Lee and the team had it set up perfectly ready to go before the guests arrived. Bill was always around to help take the rubbish and might have a bush poem or two along the way. Bewong is incredibly beautiful and run perfectly, always flexible with what you would like to do and more than happy for you to have a good time. An amazing and tranquil getaway and perfect way to spend the long weekend. Such gorgeous natural beauty surrounds the entire estate. Super cute native fauna, lovely walking tracks and peaceful spots by the river to sit, all within the grounds of the retreat and a short walk from our bungalow. The room was comfortable and equipped with air con and a romantic couple’s double shower, relaxing spa bath and full lounge and kitchen. A lovely escape from noise and crowds. Our car broke down whilst we were out exploring on our last day so upon checkout, we asked at reception if they could call us a taxi to the train station and they went above and beyond by driving us to the station themselves to help us out! Absolutely kind hearted and generous hosts who went out of their way to help us and offer such a kind gesture to drive us to ease the stress.
