Boggabilla Motel — Hotel in Boggabilla

I booked and paid a deposit for 2 family rooms. When I arrived I was told he got very busy and needed to seperate into 3 room. Considering most were children I wasn’t going to leave children in a motel room alone so just took 1 ‘family room’ and a double bed in the other room and bunked in together. He then promised the big family rooms on our return trip. While it was pretty clean there was some mould on the shower. The family room was to sleep 4 but only had 3 chairs in total. 2 in the main room and one in the room with single beds. Also only 3 glasses, and 3 coffee cups and 2 small tiny milk samples upon arrival. The room itself was extremely small. I wasn’t expecting much for an overnight stop over but for a family room I would assume it would have some breathing space. The fridge and microwave were in the small hallway between the 2 bedrooms and the bathroom, this hallway also had the entry door. The bathroom though was large. Parking spot was also extremely tight between 2 concrete walls.

I had booked for 2 nights- the night we stayed and the night we were passing back through to home. Total amount on the email sent was $340. When we arrived he said it was $270 for the one night then returning home would be another $270. I didn’t waste my time returning.

The water was hot, and we were able to keep the dog with us. I wouldn’t...

Unfortunately my first impression wasn't very good so I didn't end up staying..

I arrived, without booking or call, I drove in and went into the office that was empty, I called out, knocked on door, rang the door bell like it tells you to... and nothing...

I then called a number on the office wall and it was answered by a lady who i presume wasn't on-site? As she had to "contact her colleague"..

Then a lady appears, starts asking for my details (phone #, name...) before even telling me my options or prices.. I then asked how much and I quote "$130" (fyi, it was just me).. I then asked why?, online I seen it for $117? To which the reply was "um ah ok".. then not only that they have a huge sign that says "rooms from $99".

This all may seem minor but my first impression between the service and the outdated look it was enough for me so I left..

RATING BASED OFF ROOMS UNDER $100 P/N - Comfortable room and very happy and friendly owners. A little bit out of Goondiwindi (10km), the room was clean and neat. Food is available for dinner and breakfast. I chose the bacon, eggs and toast for $10 for breakfast. This was not enjoyable. I was only one of a few guests on the night there, and there was a house just down from the motel that played loud music until late into the night. For about $50 more, there must be better options available in Goondiwindi but if you are travelling on a budget there would be worse places to stay. There is a pool and BBQ area onsite. Smokers are expected to smoke in one smoking area only next to BBQ area. Free...
