Recently stayed here for my wife's birthday weekend with some family. The open community area (which is only for 3 rooms) is very spacious, modern and well equipped with fast wifi, modern bluetooth streaming music options, always available a variety of teas, Nespresso coffee, fridge for all your needs, & comfy (spaced out) lounges. Plenty of books and magazines to read & relax even. Beautiful outlook on gardens and the pool, indoor fireplace (not used in Feb. 2021, but I could imagine during the cooler months, it would be awesome!), and then a breakfast in the morning, which you request what hot breakfast you would like. Absolutely delicious. Owners are very friendly and very accommodating. We will be back for sure. Its also a short walk to some nearby wineries and cheese tasting venues. We also walked to town , but it may not be for everyone. Rooms are massive, very modern and everything is high quality and well equipped. Recommended to everyone.

It's a nice place overall. Very small, when all three rooms are occupied it can feel crowded. It's better to book the whole place for a friends/family outing, otherwise it feels very awkward. Breakfast is yoghurt with fresh berries, toast+ jams and granolas, good for a light breakfast. Sound proofing could have been better, I heard my neighbours activity up to flushing their loo. But there's no noise from the road or street. There are arrangements for hot drinks in the main area, not in the rooms. Rooms have two entrances, to the house and outside. Rooms are of a decent size, our shower had two shower heads so that two people can shower at the same time (if you fancy that). Overall, a good place for 1-2 nights.

Our favourite BnB ever for the rooms, common areas, amazing breakfast and lovely hosts. Pam and Dave are really helpful and with lots of tips. It is quite central and highly recommended for couples. Also, do spend some time unwinding in the beautiful garden.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Birches B&B again after two years, and could not have been more delighted with our return visit. Everything was just as we remembered, immaculately detailed, spotlessly clean, and as pristine and well-kept as ever. Pam and David, the owners, and hosts, were their usual bright, accommodating, and delightful selves offering the very best of local knowledge, and always on hand to make terrific recommendations and suggestions. Having the owners on-site is becoming a thing of the past, and being met at the front door and shown around, (instead of receiving a text message and pin code), feels personal, reassuring, and welcoming, a special point of differentiation at Birches. Even though Pam and David are close by, they are very unobtrusive and thoroughly respect the privacy of their guests, a fine balance they have mastered. They are also very well connected and involved in the local community, and that puts them ‘in the know,’ so two more friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable ambassadors for the Mudgee region you could not hope to find. Another part of the beauty of staying at Birches, is being able to retire to the privacy of your own gorgeous room (and spacious ensuite), after unwinding with friends or family in the comfort and luxury of the sunken lounge room and fireplace. The cooked to order breakfasts are truly delicious and plentiful, and Pam and David will definitely make sure you don’t go hungry, (make sure you check out the toaster it is the cleanest one you will ever see!), a testimony to the eye for detail and meticulous nature of two proud and classy hosts. Birches is located in a beautiful upmarket residential area of Mudgee, and is so well positioned, being in walking distance to the town, cafes, and a winery or two. We can't wait for our next trip back to Birches, where we know we will be welcomed with open arms, and where we definitely plan to stay and linger for a...
