Black Horse Park — Hotel in Boorolite

What a fantastic weekend getaway in the Pioneers Hut. We came up from Melbourne for the weekend looking for a relaxing time and definitely found it. The place is a bit out of Mansfield (about 15 mins) and the last few k's of the approach is a dirt road, but once you get there it's lovely. We stayed in the Pioneer's Hut which is well furnished with a comfy sofa, and a lovely and warm double bed. Kitchen is well equipped as is the bathroom. A really charming little cottage. The property is beautiful, with the farm animals (cows & ponies) and a lovely dam area with bar and tables to lounge around the water. Highly recommended. Staying in the Pioneer Cabin was a step back in time - so comfortable, inviting and relaxing. Everything from the bed - which was so comfortable and snuggly - the old fire - the modern amenities it was great. Having the outdoor area to read and relax in the gardens and the sun - looking at the ponies play in the paddock. The super friendly dog who made me feel very welcome. We had a wonderful stay at Elm Cabin. The cabin is very clean, well-furnished and welcoming, with a nice, comfy bed. The grounds and surrounds are well-kept. The kitchen is fully equipped and perfect for self-catering. If you prefer eating out, there are some good dining options in Mansfield. Highly recommend Black Horse Park for a peaceful rural retreat.
