Outback View Holiday Park in Broken Hill leaves much to be desired, especially for those expecting a well-maintained and welcoming experience. On arrival, we were greeted with a rather uninviting attitude. Instead of a warm welcome, we were told, "We don't do change of mind refunds," which felt dismissive, particularly when we were simply seeking assistance with booking details. The park itself is in dire need of significant maintenance. The most concerning issues were the numerous safety hazards, including cracked and broken concrete, which posed a real risk for guests. Additionally, several doors in the toilet facilities were either broken or dysfunctional, making the already limited amenities even less appealing. The lack of attention to such basic details is frustrating, especially considering the cost of staying here. The campsites also left much to be desired. Very few of the sites are flat or properly levelled, making setting up a tent or caravan a challenge. This is especially problematic for guests looking for a hassle-free stay, as uneven sites lead to difficulties with equipment and comfort. Pricing was another letdown. We discovered that booking online was actually 8% cheaper than paying on-site, which felt misleading. The dynamic pricing model used here seems unfair and could easily leave guests feeling ripped off. Overall, Outback View Holiday Park feels neglected and overpriced for what it offers. Between the safety concerns, poor customer service, and lack of maintenance, it’s hard to recommend this park unless significant improvements are made. If you're looking for a reliable and enjoyable stay in Broken Hill, there are better options available.

Oh my goodness. I did get the cheap cabin. I just wanted a bed, a tv, an air con, but this thing was terrible. I booked previous day. I arrived on time on 40 deg C day. It took 2 hours to cool to reasonable temp as they hadn't bothered to turn on the aircon. Everything is old, worn, cracked, broken and dirty. I suppose the newer more expensive cabins are much better than this. The bathroom floor moves as if you could fall through at any moment. The floor drain is superfluous as any water will drain straight through the floor. It was probably nice 30 years ago.

Late review by a year or two, but we moved into this park from the one further out, and the power here and internet access was stable. The power was also stable, the other park kept cutting out. It was run down when e stayed but the owners were new owners, and were in the beginning of renovating and bringing everything up.to standard, fixing things up. Toilets were small and the door was close so.hopefully that's been fixed. They warned about snakes too but we didn't see any. They were also pet friendly. We look forward to coming back and seeing the changes.

I had a little mishap overnight, delinquents attempted to steal my motorbike from the rear of my car (an incident that can occur anywhere, unfortunately dirt bikes are a beacon for thieves - they should stay in school, had they looked at the other side of the bike they would have seen all the anti theft devices and equipment haha), the attempt resulted in minor damage to the securing equipment, all staff were absolutely EXCEPTIONAL, the moment I alerted staff they went straight into action, checking CCTV footage and supplying the same to police and requesting patrols during the night, admin staff came and checked in with me asking if I needed anything or if they could assist in anyway, maintenance staff and supervisors couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating, from offering and suppling tools and supplies to remedy the damage caused, to storing my bike in a locked shed and even offering to drive me into town if needed. Staff continued to check in with me all day. I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing and caring response, as a solo female traveller I felt that I had a whole family looking out for me, thank you, I appreciate every single one of you.

I am also impressed that staff have alerted new guests of the incident to ensure they take precautions - this highlights to me that they take security seriously and care for all their guests.

Thank you team Outback View, I feel safer staying here tonight rather than moving to another location as suggested by family knowing all the extra effort and security measures being implemented to ensure your guests have an uneventful stay at your park.

If I ever travel back through the area I will most definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Extra points for clean and full amenities and a pool!!!

Thanks again team Outback View you exceeded my...

Very inconsistent across staff members. The Gentleman was very friendly and accommodating but can’t say the same for other staff. Typical Aussie block. However that’s where the compliments stop. We live on a remote station and decided to stay in town rather than drive 3 hours home. We had an oversized trailer which was allowed after multiple calls and different answers and prices each time, very confusing. We have a 4 year old and 1 year old and told them that we would only require 3 beds due to their age and sleeping arrangements. We were not charged for our 1 year old however we’re very shocked to find the mattress on the top bunk removed (neither child is old enough for a top bunk anyway) and all utensils removed beyond 3 items. The labour to remove these would have been more time consuming than just to leave them. My 1 year old wouldn’t have used a glass or fork anyway. Beyond a joke. The room was dirty. Long black hairs over the floor and bathroom, I am platinum blonde and weren’t my own. The door was jammed and wouldn’t open wide enough to bring our pram into the room, I had to turn sideways to enter the room. There was also no batteries in the smoke alarm. We went down the street to get breakfast and came back to our room already stripped, before check out or keys returned. I was going to let our experience slide as it is new management possibly learning and by previous reviews has improved however upon reviewing my statements, we were charged more than discussed...
