The only good thing about the room was the heater ,the Mrs dropped something and found an apple under our bed , the bed was so hard and uncomfortable I.spent a couple of hours on the floor which gave me hayfever and a great view of the dust and cobwebs under the bed and in corners of the room then in the morning off to the shower which had a full stainless base which was freezing tonsay the least , a tiny shower rose meant taking it off the wall and running hot water all over the base in order to get in , make sure tonstand directly in the centre because the edges get cold again very quickly. The kitchen, well the toaster hadn't been emptied , still oil covering the cord and handle of the electric frypan, no restaurant open and no general store to get supplies anyway . Will not return and advise you explore other options, was met by the owner at reception who seemed to feel hard done by that she had had to clean the rooms , I doubt the floor has seen a vacuum cleaner in a while . Maybe I just got a bad room...

This place is amazing . So quiet, relaxing and platypuses. The walks and views are beautiful. The animals and birds that you see are remarkable. We came to see the duck bill platypuses and we did in the rivers near by . The accommodations is basic but it goes well with the woodland around you . It was clean . The receptionist was excellent and she went out of her way for us . She opened the bar so we could sit in . Even though it shouldn’t have been . No restaurant in the week but you can order food by 4 pm and get it delivered and eat in your room from the reception . We were it opened at weekend . There is a cafe near by that closes at 3 . Plenty of parking . There is a small swimming pool on site but a bit cold . The temperatures drops around here and it was 12 degrees. We were told it goes down to -2 and they have open fires in some rooms . Definitely worth a visit . The roads to get here are quite steep but the views are spectacular. Some walk ways are easy for wheelchairs and prams to...

Would not recommend. Reasons why: Not enough hot water, hot water only enough for 2 minutes Room smelt like urine the moment we entered the room Bed cover was dirty and felt like it hasn't been cleaned in ages Heater wasn't really warm - had to stand right in front of the heater at ~15cm to feel any warmth Cups were dirty School holidays meant that rooms were $40 extra Parking was far away from rooms, which wasn't mentioned in the website

Only good thing about the place was it's 30min night tours that happens only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Since the tour doesn't happen everyday, I don't think living here is worth the price. There are other accommodation nearby that are better, and if those are not available, living in Mackay and travelling to Eungella would be sufficient in...

Relaxing resort in the trees. Cabins are basic but clean and comfortable. Grounds are nicely nestled into the surrounding rain forest. The library is available for use with free wi-fi. The restaurant is not open every night and you need to pre-order. No mobile phone/data coverage. Can purchase an 8hr plan for $5. Fabulously relaxing. :-). Our room has a small fridge/freezer with microwave. The bathroom has a separate toilet and shower. Some larger rooms have a wood fireplace and electric hotplates.
