Nothing prepared me for this… old world elegance from the polished floorboards to the 1920-1930s decor. Kerry, the hostess and manager of this fine old lady of Brockton’s past history has an eye for detail, and the appreciation and love of the 1920-1930 elegance, charm and artistic license that was predominant during these 2 colliding eras in history. This beautiful old girl has complete wrap around balcony, the makings of a fine restaurant - check out the cabinets, paintings and figurines - art deco - speak easy at its finest. Sure the restaurant isn’t open - but it will be 2025 with the promise of fine dining. sure the front bar isn’t open but it will be …and here’s the tease it’s going to have a gin distillery as well…what more can the Brookton Hotel possibly give? Hold your hats.. it has the promise of a green garden with pillars and a path of green and greek themed figurines that may just blow away a groom as he stands at the front of the garden and turns to see his bride on approach.. those figurines are not replicas - this woman finds historic genuine figures.|there are also 2 dogs… for those of us that just want to pat a pet while away from our own…Cocoa and Cricke introduce yourself - the spookiest Pat me now I love you pets…winning.|What more can be added - everyone needs a “I know a bloke” - Kerry has an artist who underrates his talent …someone needs to see this guy…he’s a welder, a sculpter, a musician, an artist, and I was blown away by this man’s talent - he was not. An amazing no 2 to Kerry. truly a privilege meeting them both, being welcome to the dining room fire, and hugs and kisses from the dogs. If you get Kerry the dogs and the artist you’re going to be amazed, and overwhelmed by the experiment and the love these 2 people have the old bones known as the lady Brockton hotel. Enjoy. Love to you both and...

Read moreWe spent one night here while travelling through Brookton en route to Perth. This hotel has a lot of history, and host Kerry is doing a fine job of renovating it to a state of glory. The artwork throughout the building and the decor is just beautiful. ||It's effectively a bed-and-breakfast type arrangement, since guests get their own room, and share bathrooms. We had the Monet Room, which was decorated with Monet artwork and had a lot of character. Beds were comfortable and large, and the room was clean and tidy.||The bathrooms are shared, but I'm happy to report that they were very clean and modern, so no problem there.||Continental breakfast is available downstairs in the morning, and drinks like coffee are included. We felt well taken care of by Kerry, and she even put on the fire for us the night before, and we had a lovely evening in the dining area, relaxing on the couch.||The only down side is that when you're in your room, you do hear the floors creak and doors open when other people go to the bathroom or are going in/out of their room. It's unavoidable in a building like this. But that aside, everything...
