If you want to take a break from the your busy life and relax, the place to recommend is the Bussells Bushland Cottages. You are there with the nature, surrounded by peace and serenity. When you walk in to your cottage the cleanliness of this place makes a big impression on you. You are feeling the welcome of this place, even the juice, milk, few slices of bread and honey are placed in the fridge , such a thoughtful gesture. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary items. The beds are very comfortable.||If you after relaxation and want to forget about your current problems and rebuild your level of energy, the nature is welcoming you, the kangaroos are so friendly or you take a bushwalk. If you are an adventures type, there are various places in such a close proximity to explore, such as different caves with their breathtaking beauty. You can drive to Hamilton Bay to see stingrays. More than 2 days after checking out of our cottage while my family was in Albany, We were emailed a picture of a broken window and slapped with a AUD$200 charge to my credit card. In the email,we were also accused of breaking the window and then making a run for it. Questioning our integrity.

There was no prior correspondence or call before this email. We were firm that we did not damage the window and I wrote to the cottage management to seek for recourse.

The cottage management was unyielding and did not lower the charge. They operated on the principle of guilty until proven innocent. Even after replying the management with a picture of the cottage that did not show any broken windows upon check out. They were adamant about us being guilty of breaking the windows.

It is also surprising they were so insistent about taking the damage charges from us because they could have claim the damage from their third party insurance which should be compulsory for any hoteliers.

Unfortunately, the whole incident felt dodgy and we end up paying needlessly a lot more for our stay. I have never encountered such an incident before in all my years of staying in chain hotels and needless to say, I...

We had a wonderful and peaceful stay at Bussells Bushland Cottages. The location is perfect if you love nature and tranquility—kangaroos roam freely around the property, and you can spot cute sheep grazing just behind the cottages. It’s such a lovely escape from the city.

Check-in was self-service, with the key left at the entrance for us to collect before driving up to our cottage. Everything was smooth, and the staff were friendly and responsive if we needed anything.

The cottage itself was cozy and well-equipped. It comes with a full kitchen including an oven, which made it easy for us to pick up groceries from the nearby Woolworths and cook our own meals. The bed was very comfortable and came with a bed warmer—something I really appreciated as someone who gets cold easily.

The hosts also thoughtfully provided basic seasonings, a bottle of milk, orange juice, and some cereals for our stay, which was a lovely touch and made us feel very welcome.

Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and reconnect with nature while still enjoying the...

Absolutely love the cottage! I would fly to Australia and visit Perth again just to stay at Bussells Bushland Cottages. Love the quietness and serenity. We can hear animals fighting while we sleeping and it’s pretty interesting. Free roaming kangaroos at our front porch in the morning, kids are crazy about it! There’s a walking trail behind our cottage which we had no time to explore. We will do it next time for sure! Service wise, nothing much to shout out, no room service during our stay. However milk and orange juice are provided in the fridge before we arrived. One downside, toilet is kinda aged, floor can get slippery although there’s a curtain that separates the shower and dry area but water splashes out still. Wish they provide non-slip slippers for guest, especially kids and elderly.

Had a lovely four-night stay at the cottages! Very clean cottages that provided milk, juice and first day’s breakfast. LOVED seeing kangaroos every morning and evening. Heads up it’s in the bush so you will hear possums on the roof at night and hear animals at night. My only “negative” feedback is that check out states 10am but multiple spots mention returning keys between 8:30-9:30 so found it a bit confusing/feels like you’re being asked to leave before check out. Either way will recommend Bussells to anyone travelling to MR!

If you want the bush experience close to the sea, you find it there. Only 5’ drive from Margaret River center. The house has been renovated and very cozy and quite spacious. The fire place when cold is making your stay like a dream. The peace and quiet surroundings with the animals is a special experience. They had left milk and orange juice, 2 pcs or breads, butter and jam and cereals which was nice. The only downside is the pepper and salt in small sachets which I would have provided in grounder.
