Osprey Bay offers powered and unpowered campsites overlooking the incredibly beautiful Ningaloo Reef sanctuary. Osprey bay, situated in the Cape Range National Park, is only ten minutes north of Yardie Creek and about ten minutes south of worldclass snorkelling hotspots, Turquoise Bay and Oysyer Stacks. Beautiful coral and marine life is easy to find within metres of the shore. Turtles, dolphins, whales, colourful fish and sharks abound. The park is serviced and managed brilliantly by the state government department of biodiversity and conservation. There is a WiFi spot available at the info centre at Milyering. Nature is abundant and there is ample opportunity to see wildlife such as wedge tail eagles, euro, roos, dingoes, echidna, snakes and reptiles, rock wallaby, nanking kestrels and, of course the osprey. Ningaloo is a pristine paradise and everyone should be fortunate enough to visit this amazing and unique place on Earth at least once in a lifetime. Osprey Bay is the perfect base to explore from. Five stars is not enough.

Campsites are well spaced from one another, some are right on the beach side. Gets a bit windy, so caravan awnings need to be secured properly. Ground is hard - bring your drill-in pegs! Spectacular sunsets and beautiful sunrises, well worth the early rise! Long-drop toilet facilities. Camp Hosts do regular checks. You have to bring your own water for drinking and showering. If you run out of supplies, Exmouth is an hour's drive away. A flock of cockatoos and some seagulls might help themselves to your supplies, so ensure no food or bin bags are left out! Swimming and snorkelling is superb and you might be fortunate enough to see some turtles. As it is a national park no dogs are allowed.

One of the most beautiful pockets of the world and one that needs to be visited, experienced and protected. Ningaloo Reef and the opportunities to experience it with our stay at Osprey Bay Campground made this stop one of our favourites on our 10 month lap of Australia. Kite-surfing, kayaking, snorkelling, swimming, exploring, relaxing and of course, the wildlife both marine and on land is mind-blowing. Well kept facilities and spectacular scenery. We had our camper trailer but suitable for vans, tents, swags, there was every sort of accommodation there - but make sure you book in advance! And make sure you put it on your Must Do list!
