Just spent a couple days here including Christmas Day and honestly I wish we could have stayed longer . This for me is the BEST caravan Park that we have stayed at on our holiday thus far . It’s a gorgeous park set behind giant sand dunes only a short walk to a breathtaking beach . Most sites( we were in a Motorhome towing a car) are more than adequate in size and the one we had was perfect as it had a nice tree border between us and the next travellers on each side providing a little bit of privacy. All sites were spread out so well and no one was crammed next to each other. It was just set out nicely. There were several amenities dotted throughout the park which I thought was great and something I hadn’t seen before. The amenities I went in were spotless and I also did washing in the fully equipped Laundry able to use dryers aswell , which I prefer and not all caravan parks have. Front of house were wonderful and even at extremely short notice accommodated us by allowing us to have an extra night, to which we were very grateful. Only 2 and a bit km out of Ceduna made this park very convenient being only a ten min walk in to town. All in all this wonderful park is definitely rate worthy and I highly recommend it to any travellers who are seeking peace and quiet amongst the trees in a gorgeous setting just a stones throw away from the beach and not far from town. You won’t be disappointed.
Thank you Shelly beach Caravan Park Ceduna. You have given us some great memories.

PS: We are definitely coming back here as I have my eye on a site that sits right at the top of the cliffs, where there are a few cabins situated also, ( hoping to bring my Kids and Grandkids for a Family getaway) that has a million dollar view . We discovered this part of the park whilst walking up...
Read moreWe hark from WA and recently had our 6th stay here (two stays per trip as we pass through Ceduna). We often have reason to stay beyond an overnighter so have a reasonable handle on the place and how it's run. This is the place to stay if you're in Ceduna. Not too far out of town but away from the madding crowd! Back road past the airport leading almost straight to the entrance lets travellers to and from further east gain easy access to Shelly Beach Caravan Park. Road from town is good too. Trust us, it's worth the short drive. Toilet/shower facilities are set up as separate units giving exceptional privacy to users. Obviously things might get a bit busy with those facilities in holiday times but at all others access is fine.. especially if parked nearby. It's almost an en-suite situation for one or two sites. We have our favourite when it's available! We have also used the cabins and although the one we used was a little squashy in the dining area it was otherwise fine and in very good order. We'd be happy to use it again. The park has changed hands recently but the friendliness and helpfulness hasn't changed. Obliging and personable are bywords here. The facilities are very well kept but a few minor fixes and tweaks were needed. Just a bit of catch-up but otherwise all good. You can even stay in digs over the dune behind, with immediate access to the beach and a very good outlook. Even from the rest of the park it's a short hop to the beach. Cost-wise, not the cheapest especially for pensioners like us. But you get what you pay for. For us, it's value! If you don't enjoy your stay here you'd be very...
Read moreI recently spent one night in one of the dog friendly cottages with my dog, on the way from Coffin Bay to the Western Australian border. The cottages are very private, with a well equipped kitchen with complementary tea/coffee, dining table, sofa, large fridge with freezer compartment, TV and a bedroom with a comfortable king size bed, a bunk and wardrobe. The extremely spacious bathroom and toilet are on the other side of a covered patio which has an outdoor table and chairs. The managers are lovely and helpful and the entire park is beautifully landscaped, clean and absolutely quiet with lots of birds, trees and shrubs. The best feature is direct access to the beach, a short stroll across the dunes. As I arrived late and had to leave early, I did not have much time but very much enjoyed two brief walks along the stunning shell-covered beach, where my dog was able to run free. Sincerely hope to be back some day and can't recommend this beautiful...
