If you have no appetite for reading a long review then the gist of what I have to say is this: the Beet Retreat is an exceptional place to stay and you'll be thinking back on your time there for many months to come. For those that have room for more, let me explain to you why you won't regret signing up to the 7-night Empower Retreat with Jan at the Beet Retreat in Coorooibah. Jan, her dog Mac and her three cats Smoxy, Krazy Kat and Subi will give you the warmest of welcomes when you arrive, with her animals competing for who can get the most pats/rubs. The retreat is run from Jan's home which is a beautiful property, set alongside stunning native bush. For those looking for a relaxing time there are hammocks a plenty to sit and enjoy a good book, swaying in the gentle breeze. Or you can take part in a yoga session underneath the veranda while the local birds look on. Her home is so peaceful and quiet, it is a haven from the hustle and bustle of every day life. If you're more of the active sort, like myself, you can make use of Jan's personal gym and sauna and benefit from Jan's extensive knowledge of the local trails either for a short relaxing walk or a challenging yet ultimately rewarding run through the native tropical forests. I would recommend joining her in a climb up mount Cooroora to watch the early morning sunshine. The view is stunning and well worth the effort! The beauty of the retreat is that it's tailored to you; Jan will accommodate your needs and you'll plan what activities you want to do each day. The same can be said for the delicious vegan food that is served. Each meal is prepared in front of you, and the 7-night Empower Retreat includes a cooking class; I was particularly eager to learn new recipes, tips and tricks and Jan is all too happy to share her knowledge. To wrap up, my week at Beet Retreet was exactly what I needed to forget the stresses of work. The time spent with Jan was a delight, the conversations we had a joy, and her perspective of life insightful. I whole heartily recommend a visit.

I spent a week at the Beet Retreat and initially I had my reservations coming in. I struggle with high anxiety and other mental health conditions, so the whole premise of travelling was already quite scary for me. However upon arriving, Jan really helped and held space for me through these hurdles I faced. Through the very interactive experience the Beet Retreat offered. I began to find my love of food again as a form of self-love, being inspired to pursue my creative interests, conquered a mountain trek after years of inactivity, saw the most gorgeous wildlife, and took sunrises strolls on the beach that I cherish to this day. I reflect on my time at the beet retreat as not only a chance to recharge and relax, but as a safe place I could really take time to explore myself and unpack my feelings without judgement. My week away wasn't just relaxing it was really helpful in building my self-esteem and confidence again. I went from wanting to go home on the second night, to staying the whole week and wishing I could never leave. Jan's energy is just light and empowering. She cares, listens, and learns about what you need. For anyone who is thinking about this experience for themselves I highly recommend it. If anything, you'll walk away with

I've just spent 3 relaxing nights at The Beet Retreat. This place is somewhere you can wind down and get back to nature. The vegan B&B offers whole food plant base cooking classes which is a fun way to learn how to cook delicious meals. There are so many activities at your doorstep in the beautiful Noosa hinterland. I would recommend this stay to anyone as I didn't have to lift a finger, your host Jan will cater to your every need.

Four days after returning from the inaugural Marvellously Midlife Bali Retreat, I am still revelling in the experience. The beautiful Villa Tanah Shanti was world class, and the beautiful staff bent over backwards to make sure everything was just right for us all. |Jan worked incredibly hard to make sure activities were suitable for all abilities, or could be modified as required.|It's hard to pick one highlight, as there were so many. The incredible cooking class at Moksa with renowned Chef Madre had us all buzzing with excitement. Such a hands on experience, and sublime food creations...with all of us keen to recreate back home (recipes provided). |Ancient Sound Healing experience at Pyramids of Chi got us into the mood to let go of limiting thoughts and come to a place of surrender.|Short sunrise hike, bike tour around rice fields allowed us opportunity to soak up beautiful views and culture.|The food for the week was sublime. Healthy and nutritious, and a feast for the eyes, soul, not to mention stomachs :)|Vicki, our amazing yoga instructor had us all blissed out with her incredible yoga nidra at the end of each day, along with other yin and flow practices.|I have made some beautiful new friendships with other ladies all willing to make themselves vulnerable and open to tackle this phase of life with the vibrancy and vitality that Jan demonstrated is available to us at this age...
