Woolianna on the Daly exceeded my expectations of a fishing spot. Beautifully maintained tropical gardens. Generous staff, the other guests were wonderfully welcoming and friendly. We stayed in the Fisherman's lodge. It was clean and had the basic requirements that you need on a carefree holiday. i.e. cold fridge, BBq and friendly neighbours. We hired a boat, which was well maintained, easy to operate (although we do have our own boat down south) and instructions and guidance from Adrian was clear and simple to follow. We were without fishing rods or any gear. A borrowed fishing rod, some ice and an esky provided by a generous Adrian and we were out fishing. A usual hot day. The basics of sunscreen hats, ad plenty of water can never be underestimated. We managed to catch a lovely barramundi that we had for dinner. Our trip tot he Daly complete. A 100% catch rate, one day borrowed gear and one fish!!! It is well worth the easy drive to Woolianna on the Daly to enjoy a real taste of outback hospitality in a very tranquil setting. A highlight of our time in the Territory. I arrived with a feeling of absolute terror about the local wildlife. We stayed in the Over the four days that we were there with coaching from fellow guests and the host Adrian, this changed to be a healthy respect.

As someone who recently stayed at Wooliana on the Daly, I have to say it was an incredible experience. The private boat ramp made our fishing trips hassle-free, allowing us to easily launch our boat whenever we pleased. The spacious green grass sites provided a picturesque backdrop for our camping adventure, and the perfectly managed gardens added to the serene atmosphere. One of the highlights of our stay was meeting Barbara, the pet Barramundi, who was fed promptly at 8 am each morning. It was a unique and charming touch that added to the charm of the place. The relaxing pool with ample shade was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring the Daly River. But what truly made our stay memorable were the welcoming hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home, offering helpful tips for fishing spots and nearby attractions. Their hospitality truly made our stay unforgettable. Overall, Wooliana on the Daly exceeded our expectations in every way, and we can't wait to return.

Barradise so close to the city! A mate and I got shafted by a charter company in Darwin and we were looking to spend the week we'd booked with them, somewhere awesome. George and Ronald from Fishing & Outdoor World in Darwin went out of their way to get us down to Adrian at Woolianna. YOU'VE GOT TO GET THERE TOO! Accommodation villa was fabulous, kitchen great, beds comfy - Adrian hired us a boat and was incredibly helpful in showing us where to fish and how. I'm not sure anyone has ever been as helpful in my fishing trips as Adrian was - really, he was bloody terrific. We didn't get a metery - but got heaps of barra, it was a memorable trip at a wonderful place - big thanks to Adrian.

We really enjoyed our stay, thanks to Yvonne and John! We initially planned to stay for only three nights but liked it so much we extended our visit for another night. The campground is extremely well-kept, with clean amenities and plenty of shady, grassy sites to choose from. The kids had a blast in the pool, which was perfect for cooling down on a hot day.

This place is a true gem, tucked right next to the Daly River. I'd been trying to catch a big barramundi all holiday but only managed to reel in small ones. I heard the Daly River was the place to go for a big catch, so we came to Woolianna, which I think should be renamed "Barradise!" We saw other campers catching some nice barramundi, so we decided to rent a boat for a day. Adrian gave us a map with tons of fishing spots to try out, and we came back with a massive barramundi!

Note. Try out the frozen mango,...
