Beautiful place ..Kari creek is the next camp spot and the creek is crystal clear and cold .there are picnic areas and toilet facilities..surrounded by massive pine trees and scrub have to see it ..I recommend anyone one to have a look it's so peace and just a great place to take any one from all ages ..good for little kids as the creek is shallow with a sandy bottom it runs not to fast and if you walk up river a little there are like rock spar pools ..truely a great place to spend the day ..and if you want to camp there are camping grounds very close like down fall and Kari...do yourself a favour and have a look ..I've lived here most of my life and my kids love...

3 nights Wednesday to Saturday 18-20 June. Weather was nice 1st day and 2nd day we got in a walk at the Jungaljungal rainforest track but today winds blew up and cool and overcast with a small shower during the morning. There are very few people here, so we got a great spot over looking the water without anyone in front of us. Nice and quiet because of the cooler weather. Able to have a fireplace. Didn't swim. There is plenty of bird life on the water, even having a mother and ducklings visit us. We would have walked the Torpedo Walk today, but the weather wasn't any good. Flushing...

It's a great spot, but can get really busy and there are plenty of people that come here that really don't give two hoots about other people's comfort. Expect loud music at night and ski boats early morning, but if you can live with that, the lake and its surrounds are beautiful. Not sure how good the fishing might be, we only caught a couple of catfish, with no signs of the supposed barra that...

The tablelands has so much too offer,so grab your camping gear and head to one of the gorgeous spots at Tinaroo dam call Downfall Creek. Drop toilets and shed shower provided but the real attraction is the water, jet ski's,boats, fishing, canoeing and swimming ,whatever you please and camp at one of the provided sites with fire pits. A great place to unwind and enjoy the scenery, with your favourite beverage.
