Riviana Motel — Hotel in Deniliquin

Maybe a last resort if rest of the town is booked out. Dark rooms (dark brick walls not fault of owner) fit in with poor maintenance and finishes. When will some owners/managers realise that when renovating add an extra few minutes to check the detailing. Poor paint jobs, uneven tiling, messy hole repairs indicate a lack of care which clients notice. The grounds & area around the pool were a mess. If we didn't accidentally bump into a staff member & 'corner him' for a quick chat we'd have had no human interaction at all except for the 60 seconds it took to hand us room keys. No windows means that to get fresh air you need to leave the v'dah sliding door open which gives zero security. On the plus side - the bed was a very large bed of luxury. Best sleep I have...

We had a quick overnighter at The Riviana. We booked for three persons and had a good and very comfy queen size bed and a single. Linen was clean and beds very well made. Heating was perfect for the cold weather and electric blankets very welcome. We were surprised by the comfy size of the room, the recently renovated bathroom and inclusions of coffee/tea, milk, water etc. location is a bit out of town, but if you’re staying at this place you probably have a car, for which there is ample parking. I had no idea where I planned to stay on this day and when I got to Deniliquin, I was over the drive. This was the first place I passed and I thought I'd go and see if the local pubs had accommodation, as it's convenient to stay above where I like to eat. No accommodation at either pub, so I drove around and ended up back here. Glad I did, because I was greeted with a sincere welcome, as well as a bit of a funny joke. I was given room 2, which was huge! It had everything I need - the basic stuff, I guess, but I love a table with a chair so I can sit and down and do some "work." I don't know what the other rooms are like, but...
