Motel Dimboola — Hotel in Dimboola

FILTHY! Check out my pics. The room was really dirty, cobwebs dust and bugs everywhere. The pool was full of dirt and debris, I’ve seen cleaner fish ponds and the wifi was unusable, timed out every you tried to open a single web page. The room was also falling apart, curtains torn and hanging down, shelving broken, We’re from QLD, we were travelling on a motorcycle so when I booked I asked if it was walking distance to town and the only pub, they said “Yes, 2 minutes walk.” It is actually 2.3km from the pub and the town centre. We travel a lot, stay in a lot of motels, we have reasonable expectations so we don’t expect the Hilton for $110 a night but this place is disgusting. We should have booked into the...

We got a text to say our room was ready and the key in the unit. That was the only communication we got from the staff, the office always being closed. Very basic motel for the price. Not pleasant surroundings - just gravel. Hard beds, hard pillows and a neighbour's noisy split system meant we didn't get much sleep.. Every few minutes a loud industrial hum would come on. This happened over both nights. The fridge was tiny - barely held our supplies. There was a communal kitchen, the cleanliness of which left much to be desired. Been going to this motel for a number of years and it’s been great but recently changed hands. Terrible trouble booking - new worker at the front desk speaks no English at all he tried on two trips to charge us an extra $20 for each room. Room was not ready on arrival at 6pm and we had to find him to get him to clean it. Toilet black hasn’t been cleaned for a long time just throws some bleach in the bowl, water pressure pathetic, weeds growing everywhere and worst of all it was 40 degrees Celsius and he hadn’t cleaned the pool it was green. No apologies from him and no offer of a discount for the inconvenience. These regulars will be going elsewhere....
