Cottermouth — Hotel in District of Stromlo

Stayed with a school group of 20 in July 2025. Organising the stay was easy and communication was great. Onsite staff were very helpful and accommodating, to ensure the group had the best stay possible. Meals were enjoyed by the group of teenagers; and the option to make our own lunch rolls was welcome. Facilities are in good nick and there's a coffee machine for staff! The only downside was that in a dorm of 10 students, there was just the one shower and one toilet. That said - our group had a really enjoyable experience at Camp Cottermouth and I'd definitely recommend it for other school groups...

I went here for a school camp. First night, I slept awake from like 9 pm until 2 am. I had a cramp so I got up and started running (yup). I ran for like an hour. Then, I climbed up a tree and meditated on it for like an hour (yup). Then I saw some wallabies (real) so I rocked up to them and had a staring competition with one for like half an hour (yup). I was freezing cold and lonely the entire time for like 5 hours until everyone got up (yup). When everyone did get up, I got bombarded with complaints from my entire year group because I woke them up (yup). I would be mad about all this but nah,...

This was our second year of running our pre-season camp for our four-team boys (14s-18s) football program.

The venue is huge and provides lots of opportunities to run activities. You can also book a classroom as well as use the dining hall for activities between meals.

All the staff were amazing, friendly, and helpful.

Lots of the boys commented on how good the food was. There was also plenty of it (and we had a lot of hungry boys!).

We've already booked in for next year and I can't see us ever changing the...
