We stayed here over NSW Labour Day long weekend (3 days, 2 night). LOCATION It is conveniently located * 4mins drive to Taronga Western Plains Zoo. * 5mins drive to Dubbo Observatory * It's also a quick drive to the shops and/or city centre if you needed something. This venue has an outdoor pool, a gym and a restaurant on-site. (I will leave a separate review for the restaurant.) SERVICE ☆☆☆☆☆ 5 stars to The concierge that greeted us was friendly, welcoming and helpful. When we got to our room, we thought there wasn't enough power points near the bed to plug in our CPAP machines, but the concierge was happy to stay on the phone and guide us to find the power points. THE ROOM ☆☆ 2 Stars for the room we stayed in. Our room was located on the ground floor at the back of the complex and this blocked off any noise coming from the main road. The room was equipped with an aircon, a microwave, fridge, kettle, iron and ironing board. Each room had a TV. Our room was very spacious with a separate study area. Although the room we stayed in was clean and neat, we weren't happy with the bathroom, and this is what let us down. The metal rod that's supposed to block the water from overflowing from the shower came off thus spilling water on bathroom floor, and it just pooled there. The bathmat wasn't enough to soak in all that water. The shower itself was not too bad, but the floor is not even (or levelled), so the water did not drain out properly, leaving a pool of water under your feet while showering. The bed was big and comfortable, cannot say the same for the pillows. I did bring my own KOALA pillow, but unfortunately left it behind when we checked out. Our stay was not so bad all in all, we even got to use our NSW Stays Voucher.

Booked to stay here at The Quality Inn Internationl as travelling for work and stayed 5 nights. I requested a new room as stated when booking. However, I did not receive the room I booked. I arrived on Sunday and checked in the room it was a one bedroom suite. Went for a walk to look around and walked into the bar area where I was told I could not go, and it wasn't open as it was Sunday. The lady that yelled out to tell me this was rude she was lying on a bed in the pool area with whom I assume was her daughter. I said sorry but was just looking around, but you might want to tell the others who are waiting in the bar area to order that you're closed also! I ordered dinner at the motel on the Monday, sat outside as it was booked out inside. Took my beer and paper and sat outside waiting for the order. There were too many flies, and it was very windy, so I told the staff I was going back to the room, so could I please have dinner back there? Thanks.... my dinner took 90 minutes.... personally, I think they had forgotten my order, I rang them about 40mins after I got back to my room, and they said yes, sorry, another 15mins. Well, it was still another 50-minute wait! When it did eventually arrive, I did not eat it as I asked for Med steak it was rare/Med, as you can see in the photo. It was disappointing as the whole meal cost $73. I don't mind paying the price but not when it's not cooked properly. Breakfast was $20 a day delivered to your room, which was convenient, mixed bread, butter, cerals, milk, etc. If you're doing dinner, I would venture out to the bowls club, which I did, and then ordered menu log delivery. The room and stay was OK. I think some of the staff need to learn some manners.

Hole in the wall when you move the bed out to find the power point. Having someone open your door because they made a mistake in the office after having to go back to get the actual card because they only gave us the cardboard sleeve, which was inputting on the computer and actually imprinting the card (so how on earth did they give someone else the same room within ten minutes. The restaurant was "between chefs" rand the golf club who we couldn't understand, tried the bowling club "just 60 meters up the road" who said it was OK to come to the bistro in work wear. Got the truck back out of the stupid parking area right around the other side of the motel, and drove (not 60 meters). Couldn't park the truck nearer the room (couldn't have parked in front of our room in a car because the car from the mistaken people was parked there), but she said we couldn't have a room nearer the truck because we were "in the cheaper room", that didn't make us feel very valued at all. Worst nights sleep in a shocking bed. Three little bar lights in the bathroom, only one globe worked. No fan. Window open (too high up to close) extremely hot air coming in. Turned on the air conditioning. It was tucked in a corner. Not flaps movement, no oscillation. Remote on auto or trying to set. No the lounge got the lot. Had to sit on the bed or freeze. Went to bed. My side froze. Partners side boiled. Mattress failure on the left. So sore the next day (had been to the chiropractor two days before, now I need to go again) NOT QUALITY. Try the Cattleman's. They were good six years ago. Another few in Dubbo have been ok too. We're not going to go back.

Our stay was two days on our ride back to Qld from Bright Vic. Which was part of a package deal organised by Group Link Travel. |I wouldn’t call this quality! Bathrooms had water damage & mould on the roof. Some of our group had water leaking from under their sink and shower heads. Considering there’s signage to conserve water but they weren’t interested in fixing the problem just offered a towel to soak up the water! The window tracks were full of bugs, rooms smelt like cigarette smoke. There’s a guest laundry which is free with two washing machines and two dryers but only one dryer was working (We had terrible luck with guest laundry’s on this trip) No undercover parking but parking outside rooms. No smoking area as you can smoke outside your room. There’s a gym, tennis court. |Beds & pillows were comfortable. Our room had a small tv (not a smart tv) while the other rooms had large smart tv’s. Our bar fridge was small, rooms were spacious as was the bathroom. There was no kitchen sink to fill the jug to make coffee you had to use the bathroom sink which the jug was too big to fill. I really don’t know why motels use large jugs when they don’t fit under the water spout to fill just use small ones.. We had daily breakfast which was delivered to your room every night. We only eat toast so when it came to spreading the toast we had no knife so my husband had to go to reception to get one. We also only had one small plate, one teaspoon, two bowls, two coffee cups and no big spoons if we wanted to eat cereal. So the room wasn’t fully stocked properly. The rooms aren’t sound proof you can hear people above you walking around. There is a pool but couldn’t swim in it as the water was murky. There’s a restaurant we had dinner at we had two tables booked because there was 19 of us. One person on our table didn’t receive her meal and I had to ask where it was they brought her Caesar salad with apple in it. That was not in the description for Caesar salad. The other table received their meals way after our meals we had eaten entrees, mains and dessert and left before they even received their entrees. One didn’t get his meal at all and they didn’t bother waiting for them to cook it so he missed out on his meal altogether. After a long 8hrs on the road on a bike all you look forward to is a hot shower a nice meal and comfortable bed some of us didn’t get that. I don’t think the motels restaurant can handle big groups very well. But what meals some of us got where delicious. The Golf Club had much better meals but a two hour wait to get them a few got their money back and left. Overall if your looking for someone to sleep for the night it’s fine. But my main concern would be the water leaks, water damage on the roof and mould in the bathrooms. If this was fixed and the bugs vacuumed from the window tracks and rooms cleaned properly after someone was smoking in it than this motel would be perfect for...

When you see the words ‘Quality’ and ‘International’ in the name of an accommodation place you naturally think quality, etc, etc. Especially when the images on the website look fairly good. Sorry, this place needs a name change. I took a photo which pretty-well sums up the Inn. A cracked wall plug outlet, slightly off-centre on a painted tile surface in the bathroom. Even the small plastic plugs that normally hide the screws were missing and it was dirty inside. |A very old and tired motel that should be demolished. An attempt to update it some time ago with all tile surfaces repainted, lots of black paint slowly wearing off and concrete stairs & paths really showing their age. Missing crockery and utensils, no real kitchenette area to hold the toaster & kettle, also very old electrical appliances. The room had not really been cleaned properly and someone had been smoking outside with the door open so that it was quite smelly on arrival. |The note in the bathroom asked that you be environmentally friendly and hang your towels up unless you want them changed. After one night we naturally hung them up. They were changed anyway. The toilet bowl was dirty below the waterline. Quality room service means workers in white uniforms with trolleys and laundry bags. No, plain clothes workers with sheets draped over the shoulders. |On the plus side it was only 800 metres from the Dubbo Zoo so you could walk there instead of taking the car. It was a very large bed which was comfortable, the aircon worked well and the showers were hot. At the end of the day that is what we usually look for. Clean sheets and a pillow. It’s just a pity the rest of the place didn’t match.|By the way, our travel companions in another room faired worse than us and were also...
