Stayed here for one night waiting for a flight to Perth the next day as it is only a seven minute walk to the airport. The staff on reception were friendly and allowed me to store my bag until my room was ready, in this case three hours.
The room I stayed in was large with two double bed, even though I was a solo traveler. Which I may add was very comfortable. As you would expect came with air-conditioning and ceiling fan.
The bathroom was also big and impressive and as you would expect from a four star hotel very clean, same went for the room.
When it comes to dining this being an Accor hotel you have the choice of dining in the Hotel or in its sister hotel right behind the hotel.
Had dinner in the Novotel in its Cossies Bar & Bistro a large well laid out room with large glass doors leaning to the bar, outside seating and the pool. The meal was of a high standard and very tasty. As for price it wasn't to expensive bearing in mind the location.
Breakfast was partaken in the Mercure hotel. From the moment you walk in your wowed by how much better the hotel is than the Novotel with its tropical look. In this hotel the breakfast is buffet style compared to the ala- cart menu in the Novotel
On the booking it tells you there is building works all around the Novotel hotel as they turn the area into one big resort. From what I can see and imagine this will be a wonderful place to stay when finished latter in 2023.
If I come back this way I will definitely stay here again, but probably in...
Read moreThank you so much to the Accor staff who had looked after me right from the very beginning - the first phone call. As a former travel agent, I know to always direct and after my frustrating experience online, I decided to contact the hotel directly. Thanks to the wonderfully caring and understanding staff member, I had booked on the spot. This was our first family holiday experience in over 6 years! This was a much needed, long overdue holiday (staycation) and I wanted to thank Accor for bringing the holiday experience and feel back into our lives. An excellent, very popular incentive and promotion Novotel currently has inviting the use of the pool for $30 per adult per day and allowing that credit to be used at the cafe / bar. This brings in the potential for more guests, especially during off-peak seasons. Everything from both Novotel AND Mercure were perfect! A couple of requests for improvement: More reception check-in staff please as the wait in line was a bit long, but thank you for providing such a spacious and welcoming waiting / lobby area for guests. Mercure pool may need a bit more attention as items were left there from the day prior. For the guests who LOVE Accor, can you please provide the option of purchasing or gifting your promotional merchandise such as pens, umbrellas, towels. I asked if I could make a purchase and unfortunately was advised they were not for sale. We will 100% be back for more...
Read moreWe had an unexpected overlay in DRW which is never nice of course, so decided to treat ourselves with a good hotel to get some rest. Seen the brand and the rate (399 AUD w/o breakfast) this should have been a topper. Good location and friendly enough staff but... Looking at the reception area it looks like an old youth-hostel and coming in the room at 2AM it turned out to be a complete disaster. Airco not working (and windows sealed of course which is normal for an airport hotel facing the runway) so hot as hell even in the dry season. We had to try and cool it down with the ceiling fan. Carpet is stained all over in corridors and room and actually stinks. Paint peeling off all-over and all together a property being in desperate need of refurbishment for some years now. The parking-lot is undergoing mayor roadworks at the moment adding yet another layer of discomfort and doesn't make it easy for a pedestrian to arrive when it's dark (absent and/or wrong signage and no light over the footpath). Still, when that finishes, that won't really help the rooms... Pending that you cannot apply four-star rates (one can stay in a real nice 4-star property in Paris for that price) even if it's "high season" in your region. I will double-check before choosing...
