The management and caretakers are all drunks! Drinking around us in the morning, making a swamp watering the grass so much it’s quite entertaining although a little uncomfortable to have your children around.. they messed up our booking just to make some extra money with booking us a car park for a large family and 2 dogs, right next to the road, we couldn’t fit so had to find somewhere in the non powered sites, management was useless with helping us with anything, Looked too hard for him to even get out of the chair where it seems sits and just points orders at people, blamed us for it, anyway booked for 3 days for a powered site having to move and find a spot we could all fit in a non powered site, we only had a small. fridge to keep our food cold so we had it plugged in at the camp kitchen where other peoples items were plugged in, as we had paid for a powered site we thought they may help us with this, but instead they monitored us like they were the police, made us feel so uncomfortable and honestly ruined our whole trip we had all worked so hard and waited so long for. To top it off they have white one rail fence heading down to the beach which can be so hard to see, unfortunately my 9yr old daughter knocked herself out running down towards the beach as there are no markers to show the fence is there, she’s heavily bruised and cut on her face.. last but not least, someone was stung by an irukanji jellyfish and the beach was closed, but they didn’t even have the courtesy to let people in the camp know, we luckily enough heard it on the news before heading down to see the beach was closed.. The people who run this honestly ruined what could have been a great trip, so disappointed when you get bullied by people when they are the ones who are supposed to be accommodating you, maybe go into working in prisons or something mate may be better for you than in tourism and...

Fabulous. Don't be deterred by the prospect of cars and trucks keeping you awake all night... Although you are a mere 20 meters or so from the road, it gets pretty quiet overnight, and once you are asleep, you barely notice the traffic. (There is a lot of other positive ambient noise, sick as crickets, waves on the beach, and the breeze in the awesomely shady trees.) Toilets and showers were clean and tidy, general facilities like laundry etc ok. Pool is awesome. The one potential issue for some would be that the caravan waste cassette emptying area is down with the unpowered sites... So if you have a very strong aversion to the smell of chemically treated human waste, make sure you camp as far away from that as possible. We unwittingly pick a site right next to it and managed to not die from the smell with some judicious holding of breath once in a while. Very relaxed place, nice staff, and no crocks as far as we could tell. :) One minor nit was that you cannot book the unpowered sites, though, for us, as we were lucky enough to arrive on a quiet day, and decided to stay for a few extra days, it worked out...
Read moreBeautiful villas right on the beachfront. Completely self contained and a very comfortable size. Wake up to the sun rising over the Coral Sea. Small furnished balconies where you can have drinks and meals while you admire the view. Very romantic.
Air conditioned (modern split system), full kitchen with microwave, cooktop and full fridge. Cutlery, crockery and linen provided. Rooms are en-suited. Very comfortable beds, 32" digital TV and DVD player.
There's a large clean swimming pool, toilet block with laundry (fee appies), plus a couple of camp kitchens. Some basic items are sold in the reception store. Across the road is a tavern that does very good meals, including takeaway food and grog.
There's a patrolled beach right out the front, including a stinger net.
Unfortunately you can't see the TV from the bed. Some of the fixtures are starting to show their age, but everything is clean and serviceable. No undercover car parks. No free wifi, only paid, which is a bit primitive. No nearby...
