Bird Songs Getaway Accommodation — Hotel in Gippsland

Sorry Daniel, a bit late in posting Les and my review! Daniel was the perfect host, such a lovely warm welcome. Room was small, but clean and comfortable. We had the whole place to ourselves. There is a lounge room and a separate dinning room.

Daniel's wife cooked a delicious chickpea curry, served with rice for dinner. In the morning we had home made baked beans topped off with a poached egg. We didn't actually get to meet Daniel's wife, but he assured us she was real!!!!!

Daniel showed us a "Bower" where the male bower bird makes his nest and lines it with everything he can find that is blue. Hundreds of birds around and other native wildlife.

Would definitely stay again and strongly recommend Bird Songs Getaway Accommodation, especially if you want to chill out for a night from Melbourne to Canberra and break up your journey. I would suggest staying in the larger room with the stone wall, beautiful!! Thanks Daniel and "Mystery" wife. Loved the quiet relaxing and warm welcome atmosphere....

Nice and cozy place ... beautiful location..lots of greenery around. This is a birdie paradise.. you get to listen to so many different songs. The best part is when you get up in the morning and walk up to balcony you see so many parrots. The rooms are clean and nice, Daniel was an amazing host and ask for guidance if you are confused about planning your day. Back to nature. We were able to see many, many King Parrots plus lots of other species including Lyre Birds. Spotting a platypus was a bonus. Daniel’s knowledge of the flora and fauna was appreciated. Accommodation was very good and clean. Beds comfortable. Meals were tasty and servings generous.
