Wow! What a beautiful place! Sandesh was so friendly and welcoming. He was wonderful to meet and hear how he and his wife ended up running the Black Cockatoo. We stayed in cabin #1 and it was really comfortable - it had everything we could want (including a real fridge/freezer and even an oven in the kitchen (just remember to bring all the food, oil and spices you need for cooking...)! Plus there was a washer in the bathroom (though we didn't end up needing it)). One of the mornings was really clear and we were treated to the most beautiful sunrise from our bed (and the evening time isn't bad at all either)! This is such a special place and it's right on the doorstep of Wilson's Prom. Highly recommended if you're going to the Prom to stay here!

I couldn't say how much I love this room, and I adore the view a lot. We have a lovely dinner together there. Even though the rain was pouring and was so windy. We were warm and safe inside. I didn't want to get the floor dirty with my shoes, so I always wore socks. It will be lovely if the host provides a slipper to wear insight so I don’t need to wear socks all the time hehe. The host also provides an electric blanket to keep you warm all night. If you want to have some more choice with the dinner, I’d recommend bringing some food with you to cook because you might need to drive 30’ away to come to the restaurant. And most of them close at 8 pm. 🌷 everything is lovely. We hope we can come back with our parents.

You cannot beat this location and view. Views overlooking Wilsons prom, dairy cows in the distance, so many birds. The sunset was gorgeous and slept with the blinds open to catch the sunrise too. We stayed in the studio which is the last one so doesn't have anyone walking past. The studio has every comfort- exactly what we needed after hiking in the prom all day. Had Pizza for dinner and Coffee the next morning in Yanakie (5min drive). Checkin and out was flexible and easy. Will definitely be going back there.

Very Unwelcoming. Im writing this review on behalf of very close friends that stayed there early January 2020. If you are planning on catching up with friends whilst visiting the Prom "DON'T stay here"! The room itself was nice and spacious. Unfortunately the owners were very unaccommodating and racist. Our Iranian friends asked if traveling companions staying in Foster could come and visit, to which they replied "No visitors allowed". They asked again the next day clarifying that friends were visiting not staying. The staff made a point of sending them an email stating it was hotel policy that "No Visitors" were to be had on the premises. Honestly never heard of this and everyone I've spoken to has never has this issue. It made us all feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable and I guarantee we will never stay there. Very disappointed in...

We stayed for 2 nights while visiting Wilson's Promontory. The cottages are close to the entrance of the National Park and it was lovely after a full day of walking to be able to sit and relax and look at the view. We especially loved sitting on the verandah watching the cows on the neighbouring dairy returning from milking and finding their paddock for the night.||We stayed in the studio, which was clean and perfectly placed at the end of the road, with a comfortable bed, ample heating and blankets for the night when it turned chilly. Sundesh sent great information about things to do in the National Park and warned us that any noises in the night would most likely be due to the resident wombat, although we slept like logs and didn't hear a thing. Highly...
