Neerim Country Cottages — Hotel in Gippsland

We spent two nights here and were lucky enough to get up graded to a two room cabin as all the other cabins were occupied with fire control personnel who were doing burn offs. Cabin was spartan but comfortable. Couches and chairs to watch tv, DVD player. Full size fridge, gas stove, sugar, tea and coffee and 1 litre long life milk supplied. Big bathroom/toilet. Queen size bed in one room, two singles in the other. Little or no insulation so cold in winter and very hot in summer but air con in main room with ceiling fan. No fans in bedrooms. Free wi-fi but was sled s dropping out, but some is better than none. Cabin was in immaculate condition on arrival. For 3 ladies from Melbourne this is just what the doctor ordered. The greeting from Corina was both friendly and informative. The grounds are picturesque and what a beautiful ‘cottage room’, lots of space, especially for an unexpected addition (me!) Honesty really is the best policy as we were not charged extra for the added bed guest. The little touches made it for us. We recommend this accommodation for anyone needing peace, quiet and time out.. (bliss to be ‘off grid’ .. maybe not for the ‘kids’ .. glad we left them at home!)

Absolutely lovely location, with picturesque views of the surrounding countryside almost unavoidable. Excellent if you're looking for somewhere quiet and surrounded by gorgeous scenery, and the staff are extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding area and know some excellent hiking spots.
