We booked 2 nights Lockies Lookout Cabin for the stunning views and read great reviews on other sites. The view is breathtaking the accommodation isn't. ||||Didn't stay the second night, after reading other reviews we are not going to bother asking for a refund.||||When you pay nearly $1000 for 2 nights you expect a level of accommodation that reflects the price. I'm a seasoned traveller and have stayed in hostel accommodation cleaner than this.||||||||Received an email after payment stating bring your own linen towels, sheets etc or charged extra. Supposed to take rubbish as well. ||||Given the accommodation is on a working dairy farm we were prepared for the farm/country/wildlife extras.||||We were not prepared for..||Any allergy flare up due to poor housekeeping resulting in an asthma attack..||||As you open the fitted out shipping container premises there is this pungent and musty odour (vermin poop smell) had a visitor overnight that explains that odour.||||Food left in oven, broken rangehood, fridge needs a clean and spiders and bugs on the bed when you wake up and in shower, mouldy shower recesses including top to floor. Carpets need cleaning. Nail clippings, pet hair and food crumbs everywhere. Can't turn fan on in bedroom covered in thick black dust. ||Clearly see water damage in window areas too.||||Needs a good deep clean||||Allergy sufferers: mould, pet hair...
Read moreThe view is amazing, but unfortunately the accommodation is not. We were on our honeymoon and really tried to remain positive about the whole experience, but sadly our stay was ruined by the property not being cleaned. Someone else’s hair all over the bathroom, cobwebs covering the filthy windows that ruined the view from the inside, and dishes stored in the cupboards that hadn’t been cleaned, were just some of the problems we encountered. We spent the first half hour of our stay vacuuming the place (with a provided vacuum) because of how dirty the floors were. The locks and blinds on some of the doors to the property were broken and a floorboard was sticking out. The bed however, was comfortable, there was plenty of firewood provided and as previously mentioned, the view is incredible. It’s such a shame, because this is a lovely area and the host really respected our privacy. I would recommend bringing a tent and camping if you want to experience the view, otherwise hopefully the place receives some TLC to bring it...
Read moreI stayed at the Eagles Nest in January 2022 it was a very dissapointing experience. The hygiene standards where very very poor.I don't know how many years since this place has got cleaned .Especially in times of a covid pandemic. You would think the place would be up to scratch.First of all in the living area the dining table, sink, stove, oven had oily grit all over them.Cutley wasn't washed right.Hairs from dogs and humans where scattered throughout the house. The Fans where so dusty that they bought on my allergies. The remote controls where sticky the couches full of crumbs.Flies bugs all over the ground. The chairs on the decking where full of cobwebs. We also needed to aerate the place due to a pungent urine smell in the living area and bedroom.I suggest you don't waste you money on a stinky place like this.I highly recommend to stay at the Toora Tourist Park where it's more clean, convenient and protocols are followed being cost effective you can...
