Great location, and the sites are as expected, a mixture of powered and unpowered. Whilst we enjoyed the camping experience and local hiking, the local management comittee were not welcoming or inclusive, and were quite aggressive. I'll explain why.

They were understandably busy, and we had trouble getting details on the PIN access for our 2 vehicles which we booked, and the duty manager (Michelle) was hard to find. As a result, we had to go through two cars at once with the single PIN until we could discuss with them.

Rather than actually talking with us, she abused us one evening with no introduction (we had no idea who she was) and swore quite vigorously infront of our kids which is just not OK. We tried to talk calmly and politely with her, however she was very worked up that we were using the same entry PIN for some reason.

Our second encounter was at the gate where one of the local committee members (and there are lots of them that sit around the front and glower) threated physical violence when I accelerated through the gate (I accelerated to 15km/h and slowed to 8km/h once through), he then screamed at me after I spoke with him and swore profusely. They were acting more like prison guards then management.

The third encounter was a random guy from the committee who was photographing our site and our kids, and wouldn't speak to us when challenged. It was very creepy.

In all occassions we did try and discuss and engage, however there was just hostility and a sense that we were invading their space. Which it absolurely isn't.

I'll discuss with them formally as well through the council who adminsisters the lease. At the very least, the manager and staff need education on communication and conflict resolution, and some basic respect for customers. There's space for all, and swearing/violence is never a solution.

1 stars as management made no effort to address or discuss with me, despite their duty of care to the public. I’m sure there will be more incidents here, and when something more serious happens - hoping this can document it.

The committee needs guidance on reflecting on what the standards of society which are expected. This was completely unacceptable, and would have been very threatening to...

We just got back from a stay at this caravan park and left a day early disappointed. When we arrived at 1pm the office was closed. We were given a powered site directly opposite the bathrooms which was great. But after a day there they closed them due to a problem with the septic tank and had to wait 4 days until the plumber could come. They said they had to close when it was raining coz of risk of overflow. The next day wasn't raining but they wouldn't open it until manager came in later that day. They opened it for rest of night but was gonna rain the next few days so knew it would be closed again. So we had to drive our car a few hundred metres down the road to use the amenities which was a pain, particularly with kids. Our site didn't contain a tap so we couldn't connect our hose to fill up our sink. Wish we knew this beforehand and would have filled up before we got there. When our neighbours arrived, they were disappointed as they book 3 sites next to each other every year and we were given one of those sites when we booked 2 days before we arrived. So they moved one of them without telling them.

I called up asking for the bathroom to be opened coz it wasn't raining and they had to wait till later in the day for the manager to come in. It wasn't open until after 4pm so for over 24 hours had to drive back and forth to the other bathroom block which was a pain.

The other bathroom block only had 2 showers which half of the park had to share and the showers had mould in the tiles.

When I rang up to say we were leaving a day earlier and asked for a refund for the last night due to the stuff around with the bathroom block they said no and we only had to go a few hundred metres up the road to use the other...

Beautiful spot. We had a lovely weekend and it was great for the kids. Good facilities. Unfortunately our trip was soured at the checkout by being charged a late fee. We were in fact all completely packed up and offsite by 11am, but we had moved our vehicles to the side of the road to allow any newcomers to access the site, snd we then grabbed some lunch from the kiosk before we left. We tried to check out through the boom gates at 12, and our access codes were disabled and we had to pay a late fee that was more expensive than the overnight camping fee. I’ve been caravaning for years and have never in my life been charged a late fee! I understand if you’re in a cabin, that checkout time is important to allow for cleaning. But when you’re in your own van and have in fact made an effort to leave the site better than you found it (I had gone around and picked up the rubbish from previous occupants) then I don’t see the urgency. The two cars in front of us at the checkout were poor uni students who couldn’t afford the late fee and were quite distressed. I understood I had done the wrong thing, and simply went to the manager to pay. I did not argue, but just accepted the payment. However, when I got to the desk the manager lady argued with me, saying I couldn’t leave. I kept restating I was just there to pay my fee. And all she did was ridicule the people in front of me in a way that was totally unprofessional and unwarranted. She said I couldn’t leave until they had “decided to be human beings” and paid their fee. It is one thing to have a questionable policy, it is quite another to handle it unprofessionally and to bag out...

Family camping area with very clean and well maintained showers and toilet facilities. There is also a coffee shop/General store at the entrance. Book online where you can pick your numbered camping spot online. Most sites have power. If you want to stay in an area where it's safe for the kids (and there's lots of kids hence the 4 stars and not 5 stars) you can't go wrong. Our children have grown up hence were free and were exploring and we still loved it. The best memory is sitting and watching the stars with the sweet night noises of the Australian bush intermixed with the high pitched wailing of a baby peace and aggravation - can't go wrong with contrasts.

We had a 2-day camping trip with some friends over here, we had a wonderful camping experience during our stay. The camp site was well-maintained and spacious. They offered clean bathrooms and hot showers, even with laundry facilities. There was also a playground and a communal area with a kettle and a microwave. We also encountered some wild animals, including a koala and few wombats. The camp site was close enough to appreciate the beauty of the ocean, but safe to stay away from high tides at night. We would like to recommend this camp site to other people who enjoy camping!
