Capertee Valley Farmstays — Hotel in Glen Alice

My 10 year old daughter’s review from our recent stay here :

“I had a wonderful time at Capertee Valley Farm Stay, it’s so much fun there! Neil welcomed us with some freshly baked rosemary bread which was delicious. The farm is surrounded by lots of mountains. My bedroom was great, it had bunk beds, a DVD player and a great view. There is a tyre swing in the front yard and it’s lots of fun. Neil let me help with the animals and I got to feed the pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ducks and turkeys. I also helped in moving the ducks and turkeys from one pen to another. I even got to pet the sheep. Neil let me collect the duck and chicken eggs and the duck eggs made delicious omelettes for breakfast. My parents had a wonderful time as well, relaxing with the serene views while I was busy on the swing!!!

One of the best holidays :-) Neil is super nice and makes the best bread in the world! We’ve visited many famous cities in all continents but Neil’s bread is the most delicious! The place is very clean and cosy. The decoration is stylish. When we walked in, the music had been playing for welcoming us. We enjoyed eating an early dinner at the balcony, drinking the sparkling wine given by Neil while enjoying the stunning view of the capetee valley. Neil also gave us a tour around the farm and told us many interesting stories and knowledge. We are mountain bikers. Love the trails in the area. We had a lovely stay at Capertee Valley farm stay! Lesley and Neil are fabulous hosts and were very accommodating. The house is great and has everything you need and didn’t think you needed!
