Glen Aplin Gardens - Accommodation Stanthorpe Luxury Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in Glen Aplin

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in the Australia Room. I chose this B&B based on good reviews. Perhaps the description was true but unfortunately is not accurate now. Breakfast was cereal (no yoghurt or fruit) and toast with jams. Coffee was International Roast. An espresso was $6.00. No hot breakfast was offered. I chose this accommodation because there was a restaurant/cafe on site which would be handy as Glen Alpin is a little way out of Stanthorpe. Be aware that this is not open, neither is the art gallery. Rooms were adequate but certainly not "luxury". Again the coffee in the house was instant International Roast. Allan and Jenny are lifesavers. They were incredibly generous when I turned up with 2% battery at 6:30 in the morning. I hadn’t realised when I started my trip that the supercharger at Warwick was broken, and without them I would have literally been stranded. Allan came out well before opening hours, allowed me to charge up and invited me into the beautifully warm b&b for coffee and breakfast. The avocado toast was divine, coffee was strong and tasty, and their wine selection is amazing. Don’t forget to check out their art gallery! They have a great sense of humour and were kind to this city slicker, in spite of my lack of planning. I stayed in the King sized room with en suite and it was very comfortable and peaceful. Jenny and Allan were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was plentiful, healthy and tasty with good coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice! Over the 3 days Jenny varied the breakfast each day to keep it interesting.
