Stayed here on a rainy weekend. Loved the birdlife and the bush was beautiful in the rain, lots of huge grass trees. Unfortunately camp site 1 became one big puddle! Our fire pit was under water also. Otherwise, quite happy with the campsite, was quiet and well maintained. Drop toilet, marked sites, don’t bring more than 2 or 3 cars if you need to park close to camp as there is limited parking right at each site. Sites 1+2 and 5+6 share a fire pit. Also site 7 must walk through site 5 to get to the toilet, which I imagine would be annoying. Lots of hiking trails in the area. The road in from the east is paved until the last 4km which are unsealed, from the other direction it is paved all the way to the camp track, it is easy to get in with a 2WD. There is limited or no reception depending on your carrier in the campsite, but you may get some reception at the Camp Track entrance if needed. Overall had a good time, not far from the city, with...

Comfortable drop toilets, plenty of nice walks and an abundance of tranquil, natural surroundings. Along with the nature, we were kept very entertained by a strange shirtless man walking around in bright green lederhosen, who would pop up and say hello.
The only downfall was that the fire pit and picnic table were separated from the car space for each site, meaning you couldn't drive up to them - we camp in our van rather than tents so this was a tiny bit inconvenient.
Overall a great spot and worth the visit if you value privacy in a...
Read moreGreat little campsite. I stayed on a Sunday night in December and maybe had 3 other people there. I think even with every plot taken there would be plenty of space.
The bush walking trails within walking distance on the campsite aren't the most exciting or interesting, but they're fine to fill a few hours .
There are plenty of birds around to watch. I definitely heard koalas but didn't see any. Would definitely be dusty when dry and very muddy when wet .
Not every camp has its own fire pit, we stayed at 1 , and it had its own fire pit.
It was a 90 minute drive from St kilda , nice break from the city and felt very secluded. My gf had a signal on her phone mine did not...
