If you're looking for a charming and peaceful getaway, Fig Tree Farm is the perfect place. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with the warmth and hospitality of the lovely host, Lydia. Her passion for her farm and animals is contagious, and she welcomes you with open arms to experience all that her 5-acre property has to offer. The farm stay itself is cozy and inviting, with all the amenities you could need. The house boasts three bedrooms, making it perfect for a family or group of friends looking for a relaxing escape. And if you love the idea of fresh eggs for breakfast, you're in for a treat! At Fig Tree Farm, you're invited to feed and brush the chickens, ducks, cows and goats in their pens, and you can take out the eating eggs for your own meals. It's an eggs-celent experience that's hard to beat. One of the highlights of our stay was the guided tour of the property with Lydia. She walked us through all of the pens and down to the creek, sharing stories about the animals and their individual personalities. It was a wonderful way to learn more about the farm and to truly immerse ourselves in the beauty of the natural surroundings. Fig Tree Farm also has a fire pit that's just perfect for chilly nights. As the sun set and the temperature dropped, we spent our evenings gathered around the fire, roasting marshmallows and enjoying the cozy warmth. It was the perfect end to our days spent exploring the farm, the creek and its animals. Our kids were able to fall asleep in the fresh air, under a starry sky, while we continued to chat and enjoy the peaceful ambience of the farm. Overall, our stay at Fig Tree Farm was truly unforgettable. It's the perfect place to unwind, connect with nature, and create beautiful memories with loved ones. We cannot recommend this farm stay enough and we cannot wait to return.

Fig Tree Farm was a terrific place to enjoy for all of our 3 family generations. Our young grandkids were totally spoilt by our wonderful host, Lydia, who went out of her way to make our stay very memorable. Nothing was too much trouble. The grandkids (& adults)loved collecting the chicken eggs , bottle feeding the gorgeous ‘kids’ ,Billy & Beau also feeding the cows, sheep, ducks & guinea pigs. Lazing in the creek at the end of the property was a great way to cool off & for the children to explore. Lydia even had a special surprise with sharing her newest addition, Goldilocks, the duckling. The modern air-conditioned house so close to Brisbane, was a ‘home away from home’. The bread maker was popular with hot bread in the mornings & the freshly laid eggs were enjoyed for breakfast. The grandkids discovered a cupboard full of toys which was perfect entertainment when it was time to escape the summer heat outside. We would highly recommend a Fig Tree Farm stay.

Our all girls farm stay, three generations from 3 to 60, was a fabulous success. Every possible item was available from a step stool to a toddler bath, games and toys to snuggle rugs, and a very well equipped kitchen. Stepping out each morning with a cuppa to hear the sounds of nature in the morning light was my favourite time while the others had a late snooze. Then the day was off to a great start with freshly baked bread and freshly squeezed grapefruit from the duck’s enclosure, and those amazing fresh eggs, thanks to the lovely hens. The interaction with the animals was so precious watching my grand daughter become more confident around them each day. Exploring along the waterway and listening to the water sounds such simple fun. My grand daughter keeps asking can we go back to the farm? And I keep asking my daughter when can we go back to the farm? This is a great place to slow down from this mad world and reconnect with loved ones.

Coming all the way from regional dusty WA and has never been to QLD, we were looking for the ultimate relaxing holiday experience. After much searching and looking at property after property, I found this little gem completely by accident. What a magnificent blessing this turned out to be.

I can write a whole page about Fig Tree Farm and the absolutely gorgeous couple that run this place but to make this succinct I’ll stick to answering questions I wanted answers to.

Starting with the accommodation: the cottage (3 bed x 2 bath) is very beautiful, tastefully decorated, modern and very clean. Trust me I’m a clean freak and can’t tolerate dirt of any kind. The beds are soooooo comfortable and you will literally have everything you need from blankets to towels to super soft toilet paper 🧻 😂

You have a fully equipped kitchen that even comes with a bread maker that does all the hard work for you while you sleep! Imagine waking up in the morning to the smell of freshly baked bread, a hot cuppa and the views. Outstanding!

Next the views: I don’t even have words…I have genuinely never ever been this relaxed on any holiday I’ve been on. The first few days I felt like I was melting, this place is that peaceful. Green trees, lush lawns, pretty flowers beds, birds singing and then those mountains filling the skyline. What is not to love 🥰 about this little slice of paradise.

There is even a small creek at the bottom of the property where I nearly fell asleep sitting upright because it was so soothing. Definitely the perfect spot for a picnic or a nap 😴

Now lastly the host and her “kids”: let me just start by saying that a more hardworking and accommodating host you will not easily find. Lydia goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. But not only that she is a very caring and nurturing person that will do anything to help others, even if it’s to her own disadvantage. And the way she loves ❤️ her animals is just both heartwarming and so beautiful to see 😍

Now the “kids”……aaaaaaw they are just adorable. The two kids (baby goats) are simply cuteness overload. They skip, hop and bounce all over the place and make the cutest little cries whenever they see “Mummy” out and about. You can go into their pen and cuddle, pet and play with them as much as you want. And oh bottle time is the best!! Every afternoon at about 4pm you get to hand feed them their milk bottles 🍼 and oh boy do they love that 😂 😋 wagging tails and bums in the air says it all.

There are also sheep 🐑 , older goats 🐐, cows 🐄, chickens 🐓, ducks 🦆 and guinea pigs. And yes you can feed and pet all of them if you like. The guinea pigs can sit on your lap for a cuddle and the adorable sheep Suzie will stay with you as long as you give her full bum massage 💆🏻‍♀️ 😝

Fig Tree Farm is a dream world that you never want to wake up from. And that’s the only bad thing I have to say about this whole stay- the fact that it ends and you have to leave 😭💔

If I didn’t live on the other side of the country I would be here every chance I get!!!

Thanks Lydia and Mike, you guys have made so many of my dreams come true 🥰🌻 and thank you so much for your kindness and...

My partner & I, with our 3 grandchildren, recently had a 4 day stay at this amazing Farm. The 3 bedroom house, the outdoor verandah, the fire pit, the cast iron baths, the acres of mowed lush green grass and most importantly the adorable animals, were so much more than we were expecting. The house was exceptionally clean and double glazed, so it was warm & cosy inside. Also, there were so many games & toys offering to keep the kiddies occupied for quiet time. All the basics were provided, from salt & pepper, glad wrap, washing powder & fabric softener, shampoo/conditioner, ice cream/juice ice blocks etc. etc. Not to mention the delicious breakfast with hot bread, butter, condiments, plus cereal & yummy fresh eggs from the chickens. All we really had to bring was clothes & food!!! The children aged between 4 & 7, were soooo excited to feed the animals, from bottle feeding the baby goats, picking tomatoes off the bush & feeding the ducks, hand feeding the cows with bite size pieces of special food, and nursing the chickens to hand feed them grain. Needles to say Lydia, the owner, was the perfect host. Overseeing the children when it was time to feed her fur babies, interacting with the kids & answering all questions about the farm. Also offering to mind the kiddies whilst the adults could utilize the hot baths outside, uninterrupted, so we could have a wine in peace. The fire pit was great to sit by & admire the beautiful views of the mountains & the sky, when the sun was setting. Also, the kids loved toasting their marshmallows at the pit, which they were also generously provided. All in all, it was such a relaxing & peaceful stay, even with 3 young children. Thank you Lydia for making our time at your farm so special. We hope to...
